Bendecido Lunes de agujas queridos amigos y compañeros de esta creativa comunidad. Desde que pertenezco a esa plataforma los lunes tomaron otro sentido. Me emociona pasearme por la comunidad para ver todos los nuevos proyectos que comparten mis compañeros artesanos. Hay tanto para aprender y tantas ideas para seguir creando que no solo compartimos los días lunes, sino también durante toda la semana.

Por mi parte estoy muy contenta de compartir con ustedes mi experiencia tejiendo calcetines de bebé por primera vez.

I am excited to stroll through the community to see all the new projects that my fellow crafters share. There is so much to learn and so many ideas to continue creating that we not only share on Mondays, but also throughout the week.

I for one am very happy to share with you my experience knitting baby socks for the first time.

Aunque parezca difícil de creer, es la primera vez que tejo unos calcetines para bebé. A pesar de tener tantos años tejiendo, nunca antes me había llamado la atención tejer mediecitas de bebé. Recuerdo que cuando mi hijo mayor era un bebé, tejí unos escarpines, pero no me gustó el resultado, así que descarté por completo tejer todo lo que tuviera que ver con zapatos o calcetines de bebé. Pienso que esta evasión se debe a la presión que me causa tener que tejer dos piezas exactamente iguales. Es muy difícil para mí mantener la simetría cuando estoy tejiendo piezas pares, es por ello que evito este tipo de proyectos.

Although it may seem hard to believe, this is the first time I knit baby socks. Even though I have been knitting for so many years, I had never been interested in knitting baby socks before. I remember when my oldest son was a baby, I knitted some booties, but I didn't like the result, so I completely discarded knitting anything to do with baby shoes or socks. I think this avoidance is due to the pressure of having to knit two pieces exactly alike. It is very difficult for me to maintain symmetry when I am knitting even pieces, that's why I avoid this kind of projects.



No obstante, hace unos días que estuve tejiendo unos gorritos para bebés, me encontré con un tutorial en YouTube de cómo hacer este tipo de calcetines y me pareció bastante sencillo el paso a paso. Así que decidí darme una nueva oportunidad con este tipo de proyectos. Adopté una actitud bastante positiva y traté de disfrutar el proceso, no sentí ningún tipo de presión, pues este proyecto no lo hice para alguien en particular, simplemente es un proyecto para ayudarme a superar el miedo a las prendas pares como calcetines y zapatos.

However, a few days ago when I was knitting some baby beanies, I came across a tutorial on YouTube on how to make this type of socks and I found the step by step instructions quite simple. So I decided to give myself a new chance with this kind of projects. I adopted a pretty positive attitude and tried to enjoy the process, I didn't feel any kind of pressure, because I didn't make this project for someone in particular, it's just a project to help me overcome my fear of even garments like socks and shoes.



Al terminar de tejer terminé gratamente sorprendida con lo sencillo que fue elaborar este par de calcetines. Se utilizan puntadas básicas y se tejen bastante rápido. Para aumentar el tamaño y la talla se siguen los mismos pasos, solo se tejen dos puntos adicionales al patrón original que es la talla cero para un bebé recién nacido.

Me alegra haberme decidido a intentarlo una vez más porque, en esta oportunidad, quedé muy satisfecha con el resultado final. Ambas piezas quedaron bastante simétricas y lucen muy lindas.

When I finished knitting I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make this pair of socks. Basic stitches are used and they knit up fairly quickly. To increase the size and size you follow the same steps, just knit two additional stitches to the original pattern which is size zero for a newborn baby.

I'm glad I decided to give it another try because, this time, I was very satisfied with the final result. Both pieces were quite symmetrical and look very nice.

Saludos @kattycrochet, que lindos y cuchi te quedaron los calcetines, amo la ropa de bebé; asumir nuevos retos nos permite conocer las capacidades y destrezas que en ocasiones desconocemos, me encantaron estos calcetines.

I always find it challenging making baby outfits as well.
They are usually very small to handle and I always feel that they won't fit or look good on a baby.
It is gladdening to see that you gave it a try and have mastered it already. Well done dear, thanks for sharing.

@kattycrochet Excelente trabajo como siempre deleitándonos con tus creaciones, hace poco mi hijo me pidió unos calcetines tejidos y yo le dije que viera un tutorial, es que mi hijo ya no es tan chiquito y calza 45 😅, me hiciste recordar ese momento, Saludos 😊
