MWM|| KALANNY IS IN THE NEEDLEWORK YOUR JEANS CONTEST

Comenzamos la semana con mucha energía y emoción porque hoy se cierra el concurso #needleworkyourjean en nuestra comunidad.
He estado muy ocupada y entretenida leyendo todas las publicaciones de hoy y me he quedado gratamente sorprendida de toda la creatividad que tienen todos los participantes. Han surgido proyectos maravillosos elaborados con este material tan versátil.
Pues yo no me quería quedar atrás y antes de que finalice el concurso les quiero compartir mi proyecto, el cual es mi aporte a la actividad y no una entrada al concurso.

We are starting the week with lots of energy and excitement because today is the closing of the #needleworkyourjean contest in our community.
I have been very busy and entertained reading all the posts today and have been pleasantly surprised at all the creativity that all the participants have. There have been wonderful projects made with this versatile material.
Well, I didn't want to be left behind and before the end of the contest I want to share my project, which is my contribution to the activity and not an entry to the contest.

For days I have been looking for inspiration to make my project and I saved many ideas that I would love to do, however, due to lack of time I have had to leave them for another time. Last weekend I saw my niece playing with her barbies and it occurred to me that I could create a new outfit for Kalanny based on Jeans. This way I could merge my two favorite contests of the community. That's how I came up with the idea of the jeans outfit for my dear Kalanny.

Lo primero que hice fue dibujar el diseño en una hoja de papel. Me decidí por un Jumper, ya que esta es una de mis prendas favoritas, recuerdo que solía usar muchos jumper cuando era adolescente, ahora ya no los uso, pero me siguen pareciendo lindos.

Luego de dibujar el patrón lo marqué y recorté en la tela de jeans.
El siguiente paso sería realizar las costuras correspondientes y aunque no me agrada coser a mano, debo decir que el proceso fue muy relajante.

The first thing I did was to draw the design on a piece of paper. I decided on a Jumper, since this is one of my favorite garments, I remember I used to wear a lot of jumpers when I was a teenager, now I don't wear them anymore, but I still find them cute.

After drawing the pattern I marked it and cut it out on the jeans fabric.
The next step would be to make the corresponding seams and although I don't like sewing by hand, I must say that the process was very relaxing.

También se me ocurrió la idea de hacerle un bolso al estilo tote bag, el cual me encantó. Cuando terminé de coser el Jumper, me di cuenta de que no tenía una blusa para usar debajo, así que simplemente tome una aguja de crochet y me dispuse a tejer un pequeño suéter color beige, porque considero que es una bonita combinación. Al outfit añadí unas botas de jeans y un lazo para el cabello. Fue así como pude terminar mi proyecto a tiempo para compartirlo con ustedes.

I also came up with the idea of making her a tote bag, which I loved. When I finished sewing the Jumper, I realized that I didn't have a blouse to wear underneath, so I just took a crochet needle and knitted a small beige sweater, because I think it's a nice combination. To the outfit I added a pair of jeans boots and a hair bow. That's how I was able to finish my project in time to share it with you.
