Bendecido fin de semana mis queridos amigos de NeedleWorkMonday, espero que se encuentren muy bien en compañía de sus seres queridos. Hoy paso por acá para mostrarles lo que estuve haciendo durante la tarde de hoy. Se trata de un estuche para guardar mis lentes tejido a crochet.

Blessed weekend my dear NeedleWorkMonday friends, I hope you are doing well in the company of your loved ones. Today I'm stopping by to show you what I've been making this afternoon. It is a crocheted case to keep my glasses.

Desde hace mucho tiempo que utilizo lentes permanentes para poder tener una mejor visión; tengo varios pares de lentes porque me gusta tener diseños y colores diferentes, aunque últimamente he tenido que usar el mismo par por bastante tiempo, ya que tengo una fórmula especial que me sirve para trabajar en la computadora y evitar que la luz de los dispositivos dañen mi vista. Entonces los demás pares de lentes los tengo como lentes de repuesto o de emergencia. Cada par tiene su estuche, pero me di cuenta que había uno que no tenía, así que se me ocurrió tejerle uno.

I have been using permanent lenses for a long time in order to have a better vision; I have several pairs of lenses because I like to have different designs and colors, although lately I have had to use the same pair for quite a long time, since I have a special formula that serves me to work on the computer and prevent the light from the devices from damaging my eyesight. Then the other pairs of lenses I have as spare or emergency lenses. Each pair has its own case, but I realized that there was one I didn't have, so I decided to knit one for it.

Para tejer este estuche, nuevamente volví a utilizar la combinación de pabilo crudo con hilo acrílico, ya que al combinar ambos hilos puedo obtener la textura y firmeza que busco.

La puntada que use fue el punto bajo y trabaje haciendo un rectángulo. Para el borde de uno de los extremos del rectángulo trabajé con puntada de abanico en puntos altos.

To knit this case, I again used the combination of raw wick and acrylic yarn, since by combining both yarns I can obtain the texture and firmness I am looking for.

The stitch I used was the low stitch and I worked a rectangle. For the edge of one of the ends of the rectangle I worked with fan stitch in high stitches.

También elaboré dos pequeños rectángulos para coserlo en los laterales y de este modo darle un poco de profundidad al estuche. Finalmente, tejí un ojal y coloqué un botón ovalado de madera.

I also made two small rectangles to sew on the sides to give a little depth to the case. Finally, I knitted a buttonhole and placed an oval wooden button.

El proyecto fue bastante sencillo y entretenido de tejer, solo me tomó un par de horas culminarlo. De este modo tengo un nuevo estuche para miss lentes. Cuéntame qué te pareció este patrón y con qué material te gustaría trabajarlo.

It is absolutely good to protect our eyes whenever we work long hours on a computer.
And you have done well to protect your life lenses with a crochet lens case. Lenses are expensive here and sometimes scars, we have to protect the one we have.
And with yarn you can make varying design and colors.
