Hello, hello dear and dear friends.
Blessed Wednesday to all. This week is a busy week for me as I am in training for a new job. Actually, more than a new job, it's about new responsibilities at my current job, which has consumed a bit more of my time devoted to my blog and the platform in general.
That's why I haven't been able to knit much, but I always try to make extra time for at least one small project like the one I'm sharing in this post.
As you know I have been knitting some fruits for my fruits and vegetables project, I know I am still missing a lot, but I will try to make as many as possible with the time I have. I'm anxious to start creating something pretty with all the fruits together; I'm not quite sure yet, but I want it to look really cute. Today I'm showing you how the oranges I knitted last night turned out.
I think the orange pattern is the easiest of them all, as you just need to knit two circles, perfectly round, in orange and then knit the leaves with a fairly simple pattern as well. To make them in amigurumi form is also very simple, all we have to do is knit a sphere, with the same pattern that we follow when we knit round doll heads and then place the leaves on it. They would also look very cute if we add some eyes and a mouth to make them very tender.
I must confess that I was not very satisfied with the final result, because this time I wove with wick yarn, since I did not have orange macramé yarn. The difference between wicker and macrame is mainly the brightness and texture. The wicker is more opaque and the texture of the macrame is much more rigid for being acrylic, while the wicker for being cotton is much softer. The fact is that when I compared the oranges with the lemons I made earlier, I could see that they turn out better with the acrylic yarn, since they look firmer and with more shine.
Soon I will continue to share other fruits or maybe I will start with vegetables. For now I will say goodbye until next time. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.

Oranges today, interesting now you have me glued to what's coming next, I think the color looks ok though, it looks like a very ripe orange. Good work ma'am, and success in the more responsibility you've taken.
Excelente!!!👏👏 lucen reales jeje!!
