Hola, hola amigos creativos y artesanos de NeedleWorkMonday, hoy estoy de vuelta por acá para compartir con ustedes el segundo de los minni tapetes que estoy tejiendo para el proyecto de mi amiga. Este tapete es un poco más grande que el anterior, pero igual tiene un diseño simple y bonito.

Hello, hello NeedleWorkMonday creative and crafty friends, I'm back here today to share with you the second of the mini rugs I'm weaving for my friend's project. This rug is a bit bigger than the previous one, but it still has a simple and pretty design.

Tejer tapetes es una actividad que me trae muy lindos recuerdos y me hace sentir muy bien, ya que mis primeros proyectos a crochet fueron tapetes blancos con Hilo "carmencita" y aguja de metal muy fina. Este hilo era el que usaban las señoras y abuelitas para tejer tapetes. En ese entonces me tocó aprender a interpretar los gráficos de las revistas de Ganchillo de mi mamá. Mis inicios fueron de una manera bastante tradicional y lo único que tejía eran tapetes pequeños y grandes.

Crocheting rugs is an activity that brings back very nice memories and makes me feel very good, since my first crochet projects were white rugs with "carmencita" yarn and a very fine metal needle. This yarn was the one used by ladies and grandmothers to weave rugs. At that time I had to learn to interpret the graphics of my mother's crochet magazines. My beginnings were quite traditional and the only thing I knitted were small and large rugs.

Sin lugar a dudas, ahora todo es mucho más sencillo para los principiantes y también para los que queremos seguir aprendiendo nuevas técnicas. Gracias a la tecnología es posible encontrar video tutoriales y blogs de tejido a crochet que explican de manera sencilla y detallada todo tipo de técnicas y proyectos.

Undoubtedly, everything is now much easier for beginners and also for those of us who want to continue learning new techniques. Thanks to technology it is possible to find video tutorials and crochet blogs that explain in a simple and detailed way all kinds of techniques and projects.

Tejer tapetes me permite recodar mis inicios y reconectar con mi amor por el crochet. Todo inició al ver un tapete blanco tejido por mi mamá, de allí surgió mi curiosidad y mis ganas de aprender. Ahora es posible jugar con diferente combinaciones de colores y crear tapetes más llamativos y modernos. Seguiré probando nuevos patrones y compartiendo con ustedes. Knitting rugs allows me to remember my beginnings and reconnect with my love for crochet. It all started when I saw a white rug knitted by my mom, from there my curiosity and my desire to learn. Me encanta el diseño, y la combinación de hilos, amiga. Recordé que a estos tapeticos les dicen también carpetas. Mi mamá tejía para todas las mesitas que tenía en su casa. Te mando un abrazo.

Ciertamente me has hecho recordar que en Cumaná escuche que también le dicen así.
Carpetas, pañitos tejidos, mantelitos o tapetes, me encanta tejerlos jeje.
