MWM|| CROCHET COCONUT AND KIWI
Blessed Wednesday dear creative friends of NeedleworkMonday, it is a pleasure to greet you again, I hope you are feeling well. This week began with some complications and bad news for me, but thank God, everything is taking its normal rhythm. Life is a constant up and down, the important thing to remember is that everything is temporary, both good and bad moments, so we must move forward with the best attitude. So today I am here to share with you other fruits that I am crocheting for my crochet fruit project.
In this opportunity I show you two very uncommon fruits, but that I like very much. They are Kiwi and Coconut. The pattern of these fruits turned out to be quite simple, since they are flat and without any relief. I took some references from some pictures on Pinterest and simply tried to knit them as similar as possible.
Kiwi is a very particular fruit, in my opinion, it is a beautiful and striking fruit inside, its flavor is also very rich, although some people do not find it so. In my country it is not a very common fruit, in fact, it is very expensive since it is not produced in the country. It is usually used in cakes that are decorated with pastry cream and strawberries. Although kiwi is not popular in my country, I wanted to weave it anyway, because I really like its flavor.
The next fruit is the coconut, which, unlike the kiwi, is a very popular fruit or nut in Venezuela. Coconut is used to make a variety of local sweets and some drinks. I had not considered knitting a coconut, in fact, I did not imagine that you could, but when I saw the pictures on Pinterest I was encouraged to knit it because it is the easiest thing you can knit. It simply consists of a white circumference and a brown border.
I'm still missing some common fruits like pineapple and banana, but I haven't found patterns that are simple like the ones I've used so far. It occurs to me that I can try to knit them without patterns, just following my intuition. I'll tell you about it at a later time. For now I say goodbye, wishing you all a blessed week. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
