MWM|| Bolsita Tulipán 🌷🌷

Blessed start of the week my dear NeedleWorkMonday colleagues. We meet again on our needle Monday to share our most recent projects. In my case, I can tell you that this weekend I wasn't able to knit as much as I would have liked, as I was very busy teaching some extra classes. However, on Sunday after returning from my mother's house, where I enjoyed a great afternoon with my sisters and nieces, I spent some time knitting the project I am sharing with you today.

This is a small bag knitted with a stitch called tulip stitch, because this pattern forms tulip flowers. For a long time I wanted to try knitting this pattern in a bag, but first I preferred to try it in a smaller project like this little bag that I present to you today. I found this idea on a Pinterest board and since I saw it I really liked it. To make the bag I worked with ecru colored wick yarn and also with wick of different colors.

The pattern is really very simple. You start as a normal bag knitted in single crochet and then you work a row with the tulip stitch, which consists of knitting one row of "V" stitches in green color and the next row in "pop corn" stitches in the color you prefer the flower to be and then you return to the single crochet. It is important to mention that you can knit several rows with the tulip stitch; however, as this bag is small, I decided to knit only one row in the middle.

To finish we can knit a border of chains and low stitches to give it a more delicate touch. And to close the bag we just need to place a small cord to pull and close it. This cord is made by weaving a chain stitch and we can place a detail in the same color of the tulip at the ends.

I must say that I loved the final result and it occurs to me that with these bags you can make very nice souvenirs, placing some candies or chocolates inside. I think that with this test I can now dare to knit a bigger bag. What do you think? It was a pleasure to share with you again. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
