MWM|| An embroidery gift for my friend

Happy and blessed evening my dear friends of Hve and NeedleWorkMonday in particular. I am so excited to finally share with you my first finished embroidery project. This project is the fusion of 4 small embroideries that I have been working on since last week and managed to finish today.

This project is quite special for me, as it will be a birthday present for one of my sisters. It occurred to me to make this picture as a kind of photo collage, but with embroidered images, which I think is much more beautiful and meaningful. The images I chose are allusive to things that we have in common and that we like very much.

My sister and I are very close and have many things in common, but the most significant are our love for the sea, coffee and sunflowers. that's why i chose to embroider these simple, but beautiful images. The letter Y is the initial of her first name and our last name, so it is doubly meaningful to her.

While I was embroidering these squares it was very nice to remember all those moments we have shared together since our childhood. There are many beautiful memories and also some very sad ones that unite us, but the most important thing is that we are still sharing as sisters and friends.

I really enjoyed creating this beautiful detail for my sister and the end result simply delighted me. I liked this idea so much that I am already thinking about making other similar projects that I will soon be sharing with all of you. For now I say goodbye, I wish you a nice evening.
