Mi primera caminata 5K. Una experiencia maravillosa 🌷🎀

Hello, hello friends of Hive, I am very pleased to greet you from this community in which I can tell you about the beautiful experience I lived when I participated in my first 5K walk, which took place last Saturday October 19 on the occasion of the International Day of the fight against Breast Cancer.

Last Saturday in my city took place the annual walk called “Por ellas corremos” (We run for them) which is part of the activities of the “Pink Month”, a month dedicated to promote actions in favor of the fight against breast cancer. It is an activity that has a great reception and there are more than 500 women who participate in this night walk. I had never actively participated in this activity, but this year I was very interested in joining my sisters who have been participating for several years, so I signed up with my daughter to participate for the first time.

The walk was preceded by different recreational activities that started at 5:00 pm. Many of the attendees took the opportunity to take pictures with the guest artists and record videos for social networks. The walk started at 7:00 pm and the route was 5 kilometers, which seemed endless to me as it was my first time as a participant in a sporting activity. However, my sister, my daughter and I managed to complete the entire route, and we still had the courage and energy to stay and dance with the musical bands invited to liven up the whole event after the walk.

It was really a wonderful experience, entertaining, fun, but above all, educational, with a lot of information about the prevention of this terrible disease. We were able to listen to encouraging testimonies, full of hope. Sincerely, I was delighted to have attended and participated with my daughter and sister. Undoubtedly an experience that I would like to repeat in the coming years, God willing.
