Didactic games || LET´S PLAY MEMORY [PRINTABLE]
Blessed day friends of Hive, I hope you are having a nice week. On my part I have been making some didactic games for my new English students and I thought I could share with you this memory game that you can print to play with your children or with your students.
Since I became a teacher I have loved working in a dynamic and fun way with my students, especially if they are children, that is why I am always learning new techniques and ways to teach. Currently, all my students are children and this drives me to look for new teaching alternatives to keep them awake and interested in the class.
A few months ago I got to know the Educaplay platform, in which you can access numerous didactic games to use as a means to reinforce and put into practice the topics seen in class. The platform is quite easy to use and what I like the most is that when you create a user you have the opportunity to design your own activities taking into account the needs of your students, besides being able to share them so that other teachers and students can use them.
I must emphasize that all my classes are virtual and that is why I have the opportunity to use this type of resources. Thanks to these online platforms my classes have become more and more fun, not only for the children, but also for me, since I love didactic games. Since my children are always eager to keep playing, I came up with some games that they can print and continue playing at home in their free time. That's how I came up with the idea of this memory game.
On the Educaplay platform I always use the memory game to reinforce the learning of basic vocabulary. The memory game is a very versatile technique, since it can be adapted to different topics and different levels. The memory that I share with you today is about the vocabulary of fruits in English. It is designed for a beginner level and can be used with children as young as 5 years old. It can also be modified for a more advanced level by placing one of the cards with the image of the fruit and the other card only with the name of the fruit written in English. For the beginner level I use a maximum of 10 words and for the other levels between 16 and 20 words.
FRUITS MEMORY CARDS
The game consists of placing all the cards face down and uncovering pairs until all the cards are uncovered. It is important to point out that only two cards can be turned over per turn. Anyway, I think we have played memory at some point and that is why I think it is a very simple technique to use with children and it gives very good results according to my experience.
I designed this game with the help of a template from Canva.com, where you can find many ideas to create a wide variety of educational resources.
I share with you the link to the printable PDF so you can download it and play with your little ones while they learn the name of some fruits in English. I hope this content will be useful and beneficial for you. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.

Yes, it is a very funny game
It is interesting to see how strategies are renewed and supported by the applications available on the web. That game my favorite.
