Homemade fruit compote with strawberries. Delicious and healthy spring drink / Kompot z truskawkami

For several days now, the number one drink in my home is strawberry compote. It perfectly refreshes and quenches thirst on a hot day, and it tastes delicious. During the fruit season, I make various fruit compotes, but the strawberry-flavored ones are definitely my favorite.

Od kilku dni w moim domu napojem numer jeden jest kompot z truskawkami. Świetnie orzeźwia i gasi pragnienie w upalny dzień, a do tego pysznie smakuje. W sezonie owocowym robię różne kompoty z owocami, ale truskawkowe zdecydowanie najbardziej mi smakują.

I recently bought over a kilo of strawberries and decided to make a compote of some of them. I washed them and removed the peduncles.

Kupiłam niedawno ponad kilogram truskawek i z części z nich postanowiłam zrobić kompot. Umyłam je i usunęłam z nich szypułki.

First, I boiled only water with sugar. It's worth adding as much as you like. I added a few spoons to a large pot of water.

Najpierw ugotowałam samą wodę z cukrem. Warto dodać go tyle ile lubicie. Ja dałam go kilka łyżek do dużego garnka z wodą.

When the water boiled, I put the strawberries in a pot and waited for it to boil again, then I cooked it over low heat for some time and added some sugar, because the compote was not sweet enough.

Gdy woda się zagotowała włożyłam do garnka truskawki i poczekałam aż znowu się zagotuje, następnie gotowałam je jeszcze na małym ogniu przez jakiś czas i dodałam trochę cukru, bo kompot nie był dość słodki.

When I decided that the compote was ready, I put it in a cool place to cool down. And then I poured the compote into the compote jug and tried the first glass of compote.

Gdy uznałam, że kompot jest gotowy odstawiłam go w chłodne miejsce, żeby się ochłodził. A później przelałam kompot do dzbanka na kompot i spróbowałam pierwszą szklankę kompotu.

I liked the compote so much that I drank one glass of compote after another and soon I had to cook another pot of this delicious strawberry drink 😉
