The Professor Otagburuagu Kickstarter is live
Together with Ifeanyi Eduu, which you would know as @nevies, I have just launched a Kickstarter where we are trying to crowdfund the publishing of the first Professor Otagburuagu short story. A work that began on this platform back in those wild days of Steemit. You can read about it here: Update on my book.
Sadly it was only feasible to sell the actual book in Denmark and Nigeria, but there’s also a €3 e-book that I hope some of you will find tempting.
You can go to the Kickstarter here: Professor Otagburuagu
The book will be about 230 pages and with 10 illustration or more. The actual book will be in the classic paperback format - 110 mm × 178 mm ( 4.3 in × 7 in) and the e-book will be made to resemble this nostalgic pocket book format as much as possible.
Both Ifeanyi and I hope you will share around and maybe even buy the e-book. All the best.

Congratulations to him and you! What an amazing and all-around supportive project. I hope you two achieve that goal 🔆
In other unrelated news; I personally appreciate how you back my people who create on this community myself included. Thank you 🧡
Thank you :) Everyone I back makes things I find interesting. You all deserve it. But I do have a lot of feelings for sub-Saharan Africa and all its many people that is true.
The love of art is mutual... You make things I find interesting too.
Yes, art is where everybody can meet and just being human is enough. :)
Very cool project!
I tried to donate, but it hasn't shown up yet. 235 dkk. I'll keep an eye on it and try again if it doesn't show up in the next hour or so. I've verified my email twice now.
Never mind. I figured it out.
Thank you so much! I will be sending out the info to all the Danes this evening when my wife gets home. She is the one with the Facebook :) Then I hope there will be some traffic..
Book sizes is very appropriate. I am looking forward to reading it, I hope that its topic is about one of the issues of society that author himself has gone through.
:) It is more like a crime-fantasy, but I guess @nevies will be better at answering.
Oh well, @menox98, I've experienced the Nigerian climate the story is set in, I've seen the workings of the police and corrupt politicians so the story is drawn from these observations rather than biographical in anyway. Although I made many of the characters see things my way on many occasions 😃.
The electronic version is fine, I was hoping for an actual book, but the important thing is to enjoy reading.
It is a small book, so the price of the postal (from Denmark which is among the most expensive countries in the world) would be more than the book. So maybe later if we get to make some more Otagburuagu stories we could make a larger book. For now we just wanted to have something happening and then we'll see later. The short story is about 30,000 words so it should be possible to read on a screen without getting a headache.
Wow this seems like it will be a fun project well done the pair of you, and good luck! @katharsisdrill and @nevies
Thanks for the support @donnadavisart
Thanks :)
I have paid for the PDF version. I hope you reach your funding goal.
