New Scam Email - Beware

Another scam email in my mailbox.

I recently changed and added some security settings a few days ago, because you can never, ever be too safe.

Even if someone already knows how to follow the basics, sometimes due to being in a hurry, being light headed, or busy with something else - anyone can fall in the trap.

So today, I will share a few tips for new (but not only) users in order to be extra careful

First thing.

THINK!

Never EVER EVER click on ANY link before thinking twice if you should.
I have lost files that way, and could easily be fooled many times.

I believe strongly that the first rule is to think and not click on anything without spending a few seconds to think it over.

Second

Check out the header

Does anything seem weird;
Have you received any email by this sender before;

Never. If you check out the email set up and the footer they are totally different than the emails I receive by nexo.

Third

Set up antiphishing codes

This is very useful so make sure to read more about it and set up where applicable.
This mail did not have any anti phishing codes.

Fourth

Check out the details

If all the above did not persuade you, go through the details .. why would YOU be selected for something exclusive;
Why is there not a time limit;
Why has $nexo (in this case) did not make any official announcement about this and keeps this a secret;

Fifth

Dont hesitate to ask!

I have sent a message to them immediately as soon as I received the email. Of course they said that it is a fake and should be reported.

They confirmed what I already knew

Important!

If you have some spare time it is good to report such links or websites, this is very helpful for other users.

I hope this will be useful for new users!
Let me know if I left something out or what you would add!

Looks like I've just received a similar scam email:
Your SCR Tokens Are Ready!

The return address was [email protected]
The clue was the 'con' in 'congeckco.com'.

Hey @katerinaramm, good to "see" you after you visited my latest Wave comment! On E-Mail I discovered Delta.Chat for me. Not an easy transition, but I love it. You take good care, as e-mail'll never die.

!invest_vote (poor thing, I missed the payout moment by a few minutes, so this will do nothing I suppose)
