Ideas are open knowledge. Don't be afraid to share them with the world.

Ideas are alive. They exist, they grow, transform, and evolve over time and through us.

I started to read a book. And it's been a long time since I last opened a page of something that was not a university note, a magazine or a research paper.

I was cleaning my house and found a book.

"It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be"

I don't even remember how I got it. Did I buy it? Did someone give it to me?

Maybe it does not even matter at this point. All it matters is that I started reading again and I am about to share some of the takeaways of this book.

Your greater asset is your vision

And you always need a goal, or you will find it difficult to score.

It does not matter what your goal will be.
It may even be 'I want to read 10 different posts today and comment in all of them'
It may be 'I want to start a sport and I ll do it tomorrow'

But do take a moment to think about it. And if you need to, write it down so that you will not forget it!

The only way to learn is through mistakes

This is true. But remember, you can learn through your own or through other people's mistakes. Pay attention to what happens around you. We are in a busy world and whatever we can learn is valuable.

Having said that, do not believe everything you hear. Try to have a mind of your own and try to evaluate news you hear.

There are many ways to enjoy a sunset

You can watch it, you can photograph it, you can film it.
Or you can take your book and read it.

Whatever you choose, make sure you make the most of it.

Why do we strive for excellence when mediocrity is required?

This title really got me.

What do we learn in school and since we start to understand what's going on around us?
To be good. To remember what we are told. To do what other people are doing and to take examples by the good students.

What they have not told us.
It's ok to be different.
Sometimes different leads to excellent.

Creative people think out of the norms.

We need mediocre. Everywhere. Can you imagine a world where everything is perfect and excellent?

We need people who are 'the best' in what they are doing.

And we need to think. Can we do it? Do we want to be just 'good' or 'the best'?

It's really about loving yourself

Can you accept yourself for who you are?
Do you love yourself?

I think that this is the key to everything you decide to do in your life.

We don't have to be the best, because that may not make us happy.

But we need to know that we are valuable, we are lovable, we are precious.

This is the book I am reading, and where the photo-pages come from.
I will be back soon with more motivation and in the meantime, I would like to know your thoughts.

This book looks interesting! I actually bought a couple of books from the annual Book Fair here, it has also been a while for me since I've read something non-technical.
