How can your every step count towards both a healthier you and a richer wallet? Web3 is here! Let's compare Actifit Vs SweatCoin
Do you know that you can be rewarded simply for taking a few steps a day?
We all walk. Some of us more than others, but all of us do some steps per day. And most of the time we are walking, we have our mobile either in our hands or in a pocket, or maybe in our bag. And there are dApps that can reward us for the time we spend exercising!
A few years that would sound unbelievable (and to some extend it still does :)).
But this is one of the good things that Web3 is all about. Autonomy, rewards, freedom.
I have been using @actifit app since 2018.
Yes, it's been this long that this dApp exists :)
And I dont want to hide the fact that I did try different apps too :)
In this post I will discuss about a few similarities and some differences between @actifit dApp Link here and SweatCoin ref link
This will not be an extensive list, but it will give you an idea of how these apps work and you may decide to use one of them or both!
Actifit launched in 2018
Actifit kicked off in June 2018 as an innovative and disrupting social project, that incentivizes healthy lifestyle by rewarding its users for living healthier, making it the first social, gamified, cross-chain, multi-reward, move-to-earn project.
The sweat economy token launched on 13 September 2022
Let's take a look at some similarities
- Both of the apps reward their users with tokens for their steps.
- Both of the apps count the steps that their users take.
- Both of the apps count their steps both in Android and on iPhone mobile phones.
- In both apps, you can watch a few ads for some extra rewards.
- Both apps have physical & digital items in their Market.
- Both apps reward in tokens that can be converted to ca$h :)
Let's take a look at some of their differences
- Using SweatCoin, you earn only $SWEAT tokens. The user earns approximately 1 $SWEAT every 5.500 steps (which equals roughly to $0.01) CoinMarketCap
(It will take the user approximately 2.5 years to earn $10 if the prices do not change until then. It is not a stable coin, but it is stable to 0.01 for the recent many many months :)
- Actifit rewards you in AFIT tokens, but you also receive a number of other tokens when you post with Actifit. You earn $sports and additionally $hive and $hbd - not to mention other tokens if you use other tags in your posts.
There is not limit to how many tokens you will be able to earn with every actifit post.
With Sweatcoins, you need two different apps in your phone. The sweatcoins app and the wallet app.
With actift, you only need one app.
- With sweatcoins, you can get lonely. (At least I do)
- Posting with actifit, you are a part of a great, amazing and supportive community.
- Using sweatcoins, you are just using the app.
- Using actifit means that you are a part of hive blockchain, thus you have access to all hive-based applications!
Please note: To be able to be rewarded with AFIT tokens, you will need to have 5000 afit in your account. You can either earn that by delegating hive power to @actifit app or by purchasing/Swapping them in an app like Hive Engine. 5000 tokens at this moment are worth approximately 1.5 $hive
Also, if you join sweatcoins, make sure to visit the Learn and Earn for some extra $sweat - without real sweat :)
There is still a lot to mention, but the above is enough to give you an understanding of how things work.

Interesting comparison. With regard sweatcoin you mentioned it will take the user approximately 2.5 years to earn $10. How long will it take approximately with actifit?
Hi Gillian, thank you for your query!
With @actifit it could take just one report, or just a few of them. This depends on the quality of the post and the amount of tokens one receives, so it is impossible to estimate.
The main difference is that sweatcoins only rewards the users in $sweat that can be traded (there is also a coin named $sweatcoin, but it is used only in the internal market), while actifit rewards in more than 1 tokens (including AFIT) - and additionally, the user can purchase AFITx, so that their rank increases and they earn even more AFIT.
I hope this is clear!
Actifit sounds a much better option then. Seems like it suffers from the same thing as Hive - lack of public awareness. Hopefully, somewhere along the line, it will take off.
Great comparison! Actifit is still my favorite ^^
Yes, for me too!

Thanks. I think I will have another at Actifit.
To earn AFIT you need to make a post called an 'actifit report card' through the app. I will probably make a quick guide because I see that many people have questions about it :) Ask me on telegram if you have queries!
Thanks. I have installed the app, seen my steps and was wondering whether you had to use the app to post a report - your reply answers that one :-)
You can click on the present box and get some free Afit by watching an ad 😎
Will do 🎁
I only made it to 3873 steps today. Unless the weather is really awful (as it has been for most of the winter and spring), I should break 5K and maybe 10K tomorrow.
BTW, what is BLURT, and is it worth signing up for?
Thanks for all your help and advice. !HUG
I'll understand if you are so busy at any time that you don't have time to answer some of my many questions.

There are many apps like the ones you mentioned both of them I see mostly people prefer to use actifit.
I’d make sure I join Actifit
I never knew they pay
I only felt they count our steps
Thanks for sharing

I used sweatcoin, then it stopped working. I almost try again and if it doesn't work, I'll make a new account
This is a great comparison.
