My second short film (ENG/ESP)

ENGLISH

I was absent for a few days, but today, I would like to talk about my second short film.

It is a remake of another short film which was directed by my classmates for a camera and camera movements exam.

This time, it was somehow easier because we were limited to shooting 20 shots, due to the bad experience of my previous short film when I tried to shoot 64 shots in a small time interval.

Again, we were working against the clock because there were some street shots, the position of the sun was changing rapidly and for something that should have taken less than 20 minutes, it took something like an hour.

Also, we had the dilemma of how to do a scene involving a fight, it was to somehow portray a series of hallucinations that the character was experiencing, it was his ex-girlfriend constantly tormenting his thoughts and mistakenly hitting his friend, who was played by me.

This time, in the direction was my partner orimar who highlighted her work looking for the best shots, in this case I was in charge of writing the script, in the makeup, a very good job by Sofia, the script by Kevin, the acting by Jose and as always, the best eye that sees through the camera, to my partner Andres.

I played a lot with the editing of this short to give shape to the evocation of a hallucination that tormented the main character, playing with red colors to detonate that reality was being altered and with abrupt cuts and transitions to show instability.

After showing it, I always think of other ways I could have done it better, however, I am aware that there is still a long way to go in this career that I am loving with my life.

I hope to have more experiences and continue documenting everything.
