Embracing the Simple Beauty of Periwinkles
Hey Everyone!!
Posting here again after a long break. I wasn’t active for a while due to a few reasons, but it feels good to be back. Balancing my daily routine has been challenging, and time management hasn’t been my strong suit. When I try to prioritize tasks, many lower-priority ones get left out. I really want to get back to posting regularly here, even if it’s just for half an hour or an hour each day. Finding that time is tough, but I’m determined to make an effort to stay consistent.
Today, I’m excited to share some pictures of one of my favorite flowers, the periwinkle. This plant is a fantastic addition to any terrace or garden because it blooms continuously throughout the year and is very low-maintenance. Periwinkle is a hardy flowering plant that grows and spreads quickly, putting down roots with ease. During winter, when the weather turns foggy and cold, the plant does dry out a bit, but it bounces back to full bloom as soon as the conditions improve.
For me, periwinkle is the perfect plant for decorating outdoor spaces. It’s small but fills out garden areas beautifully with very little effort. Its delicate flowers bloom in clusters, which gives it a lovely, full appearance. Within a few months of planting, you’ll notice baby plants sprouting around the original one, which you can replant in different spots to spread its beauty.
Because of these features, I’ve placed periwinkles in many pots across my terrace. When they’re all in bloom, it creates a stunning display. However, the day I took these photos, only a few flowers had opened up, so I chose to capture each flower individually instead of photographing the whole bunch or the entire plant.
I look forward to sharing more about my terrace garden and the plants I grow here. The journey of caring for each one has brought me so much joy, and I hope these pictures bring a bit of that joy to you too.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to keep posting consistently from here on!☺️
the appearance of the flowers is very beautiful.
