REALITY
Cyndi is an ardent lover of natural beauty. She grew up in a very disciplined house where she failed to learn discipline because domestic workers were littered all over their house. As the daughter of senior government official, Cyndi did little or nothing as a task or job aside bathing herself and eating food. She never realized that life is not a bed of roses filled with ease at all activities. So Cyndi grew in this nature.
Any times her mother told her about where they come from. Life was never easy for them striving to the top. Her father used to be an ordinary civil servant until the breeze of favor decided to slam her father with an appointment in government. Her mother always told Cyndi, not everything lasts forever.
Cyndi thought life had transformed forever. She never knew that political appointments last for just some time. Cyndi attended the best schools, and graduated. Whether on merit or not, it is yet to be ascertained. Just as she rounded up her course of study in the University, another government came into power which changed all appointments, and it affected Cyndi's father.
Cyndi proceeded for her National Youth Service Program and met Abdul. A medical young doctor who became interested in Cyndi. They started a relationship which was going smooth until eventually Abdul became worried about taking further steps in the relationship with a woman who could not take care of a home.
Abdul being a well brought up young man decided to discuss things over with Cyndi. Cyndi didn't take it likely, so it ended in a rough way. Despite Abdul was a young, gentle, fine man, he didn't condone people who don't take corrections and not ready to change for better. So Abdul found his way hoping to meet a better Cyndi.
After few weeks, it dawned on Cyndi what he had lost in Abdul, and she decided to improve on herself. Cyndi has just stepped out to her corridor with a broom ready to clean her house despite the rain.

The parents did not prepare their daughter for living a life on her own or under worse circumstances.
I assume the girl graduated and has a profession. I wonder if Abdul can cook, clean, do the laundry and swipe a floor. After all, we live in 2023.

Yea. Abdul could do all that. He was a properly grown young man who fell in love with a woman who was clueless about keeping a home. Her persistent negligent or unconsciousness in taking corrections made Abdul fled.
If he was really in love he would have go for her and she would have tried to please him. It sounds as if Abdul was not looking for a wife, love but a free housekeeper, cook, laundry woman. 💕🍀
Maybe. But you know despite love, there are certain characteristics you expect from a partner. Perhaps he tried to be with her, what he thought never came and had to switch.
