Review of the comic book and film V for Vendetta/ Recenzja filmu i komiksu V jak Vendetta

Remember, remember the 5th of November...* Probably the most famous phrase that has featured heavily in pop culture V for Vendetta is a comic book by the excellent Alan Moor and David Loyd.Voluminous at over 260 pages, it focuses on telling a story that is not at all as unreal as it seems. 1997 Britain is ruled by a party where many things are forbidden. What is not forbidden is to be obedient to the authorities.Wiretaps and cameras on every corner so that the power can watch people and know when they are committing negligence.

A country where freedom does not exist and any sexual dissent is automatically condemned to prison. A place where news is filtered so that the public can praise the leader. In this oppressive world, we meet Evey, a young girl who, having no means of earning a living, decides to become a prostitute and ends up at the police station. Then along comes a mysterious man with a mask on his face who speaks a poem and saves her, he doesn't realize that this will be his vital factor to make the world a better place

V hides his identity under a mask, he doesn't want to give away his name or his face, V not only wants to make a revolution, but he also wants to get rid of every person who ruled the prison where he was staying, V was subjected to medical experiments and was the only one to survive them, although the effects are mental illness.Mental illness plays quite a strong role here, V wants to save Britain on the one hand, but on the other hand he shows Evey what it is like to be a prisoner in her own country by subjecting her to a series of tortures Over the course of a year the revolution takes place, and each planned action causes society to slowly emerge from its shackles. The comic doesn't want to sugarcoat it, it goes a step further to show how the government can be cruel just to cover up inconvenient truths like pedophilia. The closer we get to the finale, the more we understand the actions of a madman who wants to be the only one to be the voice of the people, the only one to betray himself in his twisted crusade to show the country in a different light.

Evey undergoes quite a transformation of emotions over the course of a year, from sad and confused, to eager for revenge, to seeing veritable chaos all around her.V for Vendetta is a comic that takes the reader into the Chamber of Shadows and shows there, the only sane world left 1 The movie is different in many ways. The movie was created by the Wachowski duo, although they didn't direct it, they had quite an influence on the whole thing and unfortunately the biggest flaw is also the fact of giving V super powers (in the comics he only had mental illness, in the movie he has super dexterity) and not speaking in verse.

2 The ending is theoretically similar, but one important thing about Evey has been changed and the movie lacks a strong impact. There are generally fewer scenes with Evey in the movie, and they are directed differently. Evey's lover, who made her want revenge, is not in the movie.
The torture scene of Evey is much less emotional than in the comic and unfortunately the iconic V scene was also handled differently.I cling to the movie, but despite so many flaws and different scenes, it's still a great movie.If you've never read V for Vendetta, it's worth it because it's a story of the best revenge that has spread across the country. If you know the movie, it is worth getting to know the model and you will not be disappointed, even though the comic is from the 80s and you can feel the style, it is drawn in such a way that it does not throw you off.
The comic is 10/10, although towards the end it is more subdued and focuses on the emotions of the characters rather than the action, but it is the best comic on such a subject, where a mentally ill person wanting revenge for his worst days becomes a revolution for the country.
Movie 8/10 and here the ending is handled completely differently, more like a scene in a theater, although the underground scene is similar and so is everything else.

Obszerny ponad 260 stron skupia, ale na opowiedzeniu historii, która wcale nie jest tak odrealniona jak sie wydaje. 1997
Wielka Brytania rządzi partia gdzie, wiele rzeczy jest zakazanych. To, co nie jest zakazane to bycie posłusznym władzom.
Podsłuchy i kamery na każdym rogu, by moc obserwować ludzi i wiedzieć, kiedy dopuszczają się zaniedbań. Kraj gdzie wolność nie istnieje, a wszystkie inności płciowe są z automatu skazane na wiezienie. Miejsce, gdzie wiadomości są filtrowane, tak by opinia publiczna mogla chwalić przywódcę. W tym zaplutym świecie poznajemy Evey młodą dziewczynę, która nie mając środków do życia chce byc prostytutka.
Pech chciał, że trafia na policje. Wtem zjawia się tajemniczy mężczyzna z maska na twarzy mówiący wierszem, ratując ja nie zdaje sobie sprawy, z to będzie jego istotny czynnik, który ma zaprowadzić świat ku lepszemu.

Tak zaczyna sie komiks, który pokazuje, jak ciężką walkę musi przejść społeczeństwo by być wolnym od dyktatury.

V ukrywa swoja tożsamość pod maska, nie chce zdadzac swojego imienia czy twarzy
V nie tylko chce zrobić rewolucje, ale eliminuje każdą osobę, która rządziła wiezieniem gdzie przebywał.
V był poddawany eksperymentom medycznym i jako jedyny przeżył je, choć skutki to choroba psychiczna.
Choroba psychiczna odgrywa tutaj dosc mocne znaczenie V z jednej strony chce ocalic Wielka Brytanie z drugiej pokazuje Evey jak to jest byc wiezniem we wlasnym kraju poddajac ja szeregu tortur.

Przez jeden rok rewolucja się dokonuje, a każda zaplanowana akcja powoduje, że społeczeństwo powoli sie wykluje z kajdan. Komiks nie chce być cukierkowy, idzie krok dalej pokazuje jak rzad potrafi byc okrutny byle tylko zatuszowac niewygodne prawdy jak pedofilia. Im bliżej finału, tym bardziej rozumiemy poczynania szalenca ktory chce jako jedyny byc glosem ludu, jako jedyny oddaje sie w swej pokręconej krucjacie, by ukazać kraj w innym świetle.

Evey przez jeden rok przechodzi spora transformacje emocji od smutnej i zagubionej poprzez chętnej do zemsty aż do zobaczenia istnego chaosu wokół niej.
V jak Vendetta to komiks, który zabiera czytelnika do Komnaty Cieni i tam pokazuje, jedyne sensowny świat, jaki jeszcze został.

Film pod wieloma względami różni sie od filmu. Brakuje wiele ważnych scen, zaś sceny, które już się pojawia się były spłycone, przez co sens i wymowa traciły wydźwięk.
Film stworzył duet Wachowskich, choć nie oni reżyserowali to jednak mieli spory wpływ na całość i niestety największą wada jest też fakt nadaniu V super mocy ( w komiksie miał tylko chorobe psychiczna, w filmie ma super zręczność) i brak mówienia wierszem.

Koniec teoretycznie jest podobny choc zmieniono jedna wazna rzecz zwiazana z Evey przez co brakuje filmowi mocnego wydzwieku. Scen z Evey ogólnie jest w filmie mniej i sa one inaczej pokierowane. Nie ma w filmie kochanka Evey, dzięki któremu zapragnęła zemsty. Zaś scena tortur Evey jest znacząco mniej emocjonalna niz w komiksie i niestety ikoniczna scen V tez została inaczej poprowadzona.

Czepiam się filmu, a mimo to mimo tak wielu wad, oraz różnych scen to dalej świetny film.
Jeśli nigdy nie czytałeś/as V jak Vendetta to warto, bo to historia o najlepszej zemście, która rozrosła sie na cały kraj. Jeśli znasz film to wato poznac pierowzor uwierz nie zawiedziesz sie mimo, z komiks z lat 80 i czuć ten styl to jednak jest on tak rysowany, z nie odrzuca
Komiks 10/10 choć pod koniec bywa bardziej stonowany i nakierowany na emocje bohaterow niz na akcje to jednak to najlepszy komiks o takiej tematyce gdzie chory psychicznie chcac zemscic sie za swoje majgorsze dni staje sie rewolucja dla kraju.
Film 8/10 i tutaj koniec jest calkowicie inaczej poprpsadzony bardziej wyglada jak scena w teatrze choc scena w metrze jest podobna tak wszystko jest inne.
