Motorcycle Scooter Carburetor Maintenance 125
A very warm regards to all. This cardinal 125 escooter motorcycle that I present to you is my means of transportation to mobilize myself regarding my hive jobs in a different place. This time I wanted to share with you how I could fix a fault that was presenting to me when I left it on without running, it turned off by itself. Without further ado here the explanation.
The first thing I did was remove the seat to have a better view regarding the location of the carburetor taking into account that it has several hoses that connect both the air and gasoline, controlled by an adjustment screw to have a perfect mixture of air and fuel.
Then Take off the connections to have a better handling, this image shows the gasoline inlet which is very important to take it off and place it in a safe place.
I removed the bottom cover where the float is located, the high and low speed gum, I made a visual inspection of the cover where the gasoline is deposited to see if it had any residue or dirt and indeed it had a little dirt, I proceeded to clean it.
Often I remove the high and low speed gum since the low speed gum is the smallest, this is the one that allows me to keep my motorcycle on while I have it parked and the largest is the high speed gum that allows more gasoline to enter . When it has some trash residue it does not allow it to do its job. And in this case the gum downstairs is dirty. The hole where the gasoline passes is very minimal and I had to be very careful to clean it.
Once I finished cleaning the gears well, I began to assemble the carburetor and mount it to test it, starting the motorcycle, but leaving it parked to see if it stays on.
I started my motorcycle and if it stays on, the fault was in the dirt that had accumulated from the low-pressure gum, I can now use my motorcycle without a problem.
I hope you like this little experience and that it can be of use to you if someone has this same problem and they don't know how to solve it, thank you for your attention.
