Wednesday Walk: walking along Yaowarad road in Chinatown.

As I had to get some Chinese calendars for next year, I had to get a bus to Chinatown in the afternoon before I procrastinated or got distracted. I was quite surprised that there was a traffic jam around the Chinese Gate at the beginning of Yaowarad road. The weather was nice and dry though I would like it to be a bit cooler. But winter month was just around the corner and we were promised a much cooler winter season. As I needed some exercises any way, I decided to get off the bus and walk along Yaowarad road.

It dawned upon me that I arrived on the last day of the Chinese Vegetarian Festival, that’s why there were tons of visitors and traffic along this road. This was the first time I had seen such big crowds and excitement in the air. The atmosphere was very upbeat, lively and joyful. People seemed to be very expressive and full of energy as if they had this opportunity to burst out of their mental inhibitions since the lockdown.

I was quite overwhelmed by the numbers of people in eagerly hunting for their favourite streetfood and snacks. They were going all out at tasting those delicious food. The vegetarian food stalls were very popular while youngsters were more attracted by non-vegetarian food stalls which were promoted by some local influencers.

I made the right decision to take a walk as I soon encountered a parade of Chinese shrines’ deities in this area. This was very interesting and special occasion for me as I was very curious about old religious statues and deities. This gave me the opportunity to take a glimpse of old sacred Chinese gods or guardians. The Chinese community around the shrines would volunteer to carry the old statues on their shoulders along Yaowarad road. This would give the opportunity for other people to pay respect and make donations to accumulate good karma.

These local Chinese people, in bright colour uniforms, walked behind their shrines’ statues in long lines. There were about four or five shrines’ statues being carried around for people to pay respect. I was very excited by this rare prospect of getting very close to the holy statues in a parade. So, I was walking fast trying to catch up with each procession so I could take some nice photos. Lots of people were waiting for the parade to get close enough so they could take their photos. I was running around the procession trying to get some good snaps. I was lucky nobody told me to stop running around the processions.

One shrine seemed to be quite famous and holy as some people formed a line by sitting on the ground. They were waiting in line for the passind shrine’ statue to give them blessings. This created quite a commotion while organising staff tried to tell them to sit down. So, I had to use my psychic ability to find out more about some powerful guardian statues among the processions. At first I didn’t pay much attention to the old statues as I didn’t expect that those guardian spirits would accompany the annual processions. But the reactions of some old Chinese devotees put me on alert.

To my surprise, I was struck by some energy from an old shrine. So, I had to stand still and did my prayers; I didn’t expect that special contact for which I was very grateful. I did wonder how many people could feel the flow of energy that I could feel around old sacred statues. Most of my close friends couldn’t feel this at all, so I had to show them on site what’s running around my body. They had to stand very close to me to feel that mild electric shock. They shivered once they were in my energy field.

That was good fun and it helped to confirm that I didn’t just imagine things. But I knew I shouldn’t misuse my liberty on the matter; they didn’t like me showing off or going on an ego trip. So, I always had to ask for their permissions before I could do things with energy. It’s permissible to use this energy for healing cats and some sick friends.

I realised the sudden drive to get my Chinese calendar; it was meant to lead me to discover these old shrines’ statues so that I could receive some blessings and healing energy. I was very grateful to my guardians for giving me the extra doses of energy. I could feel that life was going to take on a new chapter of challenges in the new year. During this phase, I often felt lots of confusion, struggling energies and negativity flowing around in the air, especially before some shocking incidents which caused lots of sufferings.

Sometimes the ‘silent’ sounds of crying for help was quite overwhelming and sadness was splashed all over the cloudy sky. The water droplets carried the memories of experiences gathered and communicated in the air. I had to pray for compassion and healing to be spread around the globe.

We have been so lucky to be on this special land with lots of sacred and wonderful energies hidden in the land. Perhaps if more people started to pray and meditate more often, the future calamity could be mitigated and unexpected positive turns of events could save the dire situation. We just have to remember to be positive more often than feeling negative. I would have to count my small blessings everyday.

Wishing you peace, good health and prosperity.

Stay strong and cheerful.

Thanks for your nice and thoughtful comment. People only come out together for festivals and social activities. Most of the time people just live very quietly and mind their own businesses. So, it was good for me to feel the powerful vibes of crowded festival with lots of people. They somehow shared their energies and hopeful intentions.
