Beautiful Sunday: having ice cream at Haadkam Resort.

The last few days we had been very busy with gardening and road work. My muscles were complaining about my disrespect and extra burden I had imposed on them without much warning. Some planetary positioning had definitely given me irregular energy boost so I was moved to start the repair project outside the house. My neighbours have been busy doing the road work since last week. So, my gardener suggested that we needed to make some improvements before the next rainy season.

I didn’t quite see the need of any major repair work as we could travel safely in the past. But after the prolonged flood, thick layer of mud had covered the dirt road which made the road very slippery for three weeks. Though the mud had become hardened and we had a tractor to sweep the mud to the sides, heavy rain would make the road very slippery again. My neighbour suggested that I ought to have an alternative exit to the riverside road so that I could avoid the slippery dirt road in rainy season.

The idea hovered in my mind for one day as I would have to raise a big sum of cash suddenly. This would put a big hole in my savings and I would have to sell some cypto in the near future. After weighing the prospect of uncertainty of the future, the risk of having accidents on slippery road, and the convenience of having a secured and safe exit to the village, I decided for this investment project. My gardener was very happy as she nonlonger had to negotiate slippery road next year.

We had to clear the land and all the rubbish which came with floodwaters: many plastic bottles and pieces of old wood. Then, we had to cut down several trees and branches along the designated path. These tasks took two days of muscle work in hot weather. Then we had to keep watch on where the trucks were piling loads of soil and red earth. I had to supervise the bulldozer along the path so that water pipes wouldn’t be damaged.

The whole project was a learning experience for me as this project was quite spontaneous. I just followed my intuition with simple faith that I would be provided for by ‘life’ destiny. I knew something very drastic would be coming to us in the near future. I could feel the imminent uncertainty and sudden changes that would unsettle lots of people. I just hoped that my ‘inner voice’ or ‘guardians’ voices would be loud enough for me to hear and listen to them properly. Many times I had ignored these voices to the regret of my own actions and consequences. I had to remind myself to respect these old ‘ancient’ voices of wisdom and supernatural power.

I heard myself telling me that I deserved a treat of ice cream by the river. Though I had to save as much money as possible for essential food supply, I had to give myself a small treat. So, I took my light bicycle which was gifted by an old friend (who said I had saved her life so she gave me this bicycle to show her gratitude.) I always thought about her whenever I cycled along the river.

The local Haadkam Resort was nicely located on the riverbank. The original owner was a very artistic lady with deep appreciation for old architecture and customs. So, the resort was built with the old northern style of architecture surrounded by trees and plants. The dining area by the river was all flooded over a month ago. So, I was quite pleased to see that the restaurant could operate normally once again.

This place was like a fine jewel in the ‘outback’ where most eateries were very simple local food. The Haadkam restaurant offered premium ice cream made from organic ingredients and the selections of foods on the menu seemed much more sophisticated and avant-garde than all local eateries. The signature dish was the ‘flowers salad’; I had to save some money for a dinner there one day.

I was there at the right moment just before the sunset. But my favourite double choc’ ice cream was sold out. So, I had to try a strawberry cheesecake ice cream instead. To my surprise, it tasted very good: the cheescake was very rich with sweet and sour taste of strawberry. Perhaps I would get this one again next month. The atmosphere by the river was very calm and peaceful. There were some customers enjoying their cold beer with the sunset view and a young family with two children.

In the past, this restaurant was quite crowded with live band in the evening. I did cycle by to eavesdrop on the singers. They were quite good and their old style country music was sympathetic to the riverside surroundings. I hoped the musicians did manage to find new places for work. The staff at the restaurant were quite well trained and they left customers to enjoy the sunset views without any hassle.

The new modernised restaurants along the main road tended to have very loud music to attract younger customers. These new places attracted a different genre of customers with flashy cars and rich clientele. Those were the new places to be seen if you were someone with ranking and status in this small town. It’s where people could make new connections and meet local businessmen. The owners of those eateries were mostly high ranking policemen and custom officers, so they had the money to invest in high end restaurants and pubs.

I preferred the low key and simple restaurants in natural surroundings with friendly staff. I could turn up at this local restaurant in old gardening clothes, torn hat and muddy sandals. I wasn’t in the habit of dressing up after working in the garden all afternoon. The days for dressing up formally or respectively had become history for me. But I had to accept condescending glances I got whenever I walked into expensive establishments. I couldn’t possibly turn up at those nicely designed restaurants on the main road in my gardening uniform. I might just do this one day to test the reactions of the staff. It used to be a game I played from time to time to amuse myself.

The journey back to the house was very quiet and calming for my mind. I could enjoy the fresh air and sunset without any crowd. Most people would return to their houses before the sky became dark after the sun had set. I had to carry an extra torch light in case the road became dark too fast. My gardener was afraid of encountering big snake along the path. Luckily I never encountered a snake along the dirt road, though I was more concerned with meeting aliens from outer space. The setting was very suitable for a secret landing of a small flying saucer! Perhaps I had to do my contact meditation with the captain of the spacecraft again. He did come to look at my house with two accompanying silver balls. The mother ship was like a long thin silver stick moving very slowly in the sky. The silver balls were moving in all ditections at high speed.

One night I got a message whether I would like to meet him face to face. I felt it would be a waste of their time and too dangerous to be easily detected via satellites reconnaissance. So, I declined the meeting as I also felt I couldn’t make small talks; I had nothing to give them in terms of intelligent conversation. I only hoped that they would hear my call for help with disarming those nuclear warheads once they were fired from their silos. They were concerned about the state of planet earth and whether earthlings would exterminate their own tribes including the destruction of planet earth. The sudden change in electromagnetic fields around the earth would impact the rotations of other planets on the solar system and other planets in outer space. So, I continued to pray for peace and compassion on earth.
