Path of Exile — Settlers of Kalguur — Still leveling!

In my last post I wrote about levelling my Templar and hoping for him to possibly be my first character to reach Level 100 in this slog of a game. I was level 93 and a half upon writing that.

95 and a half! Haha. 😆

I had an unfortunate stroke of misfortune where I would get to 90% through my level, then die. Get back up to 90%. Die again.

It was awful.

But then I did a little bit of shuffling around with my build. I did a whole heap of Sacred Grove to get lifeforce to sell, and made a couple of Divine Orbs thanks to that so I could afford a heap of stuff. Also changed a few skill points around for now.

In the end, I ended up improving my Effective Health Pool from a mere 23,000 to 78,000. 😅 AND also improved my dps from 5 million to almost 9 million.

I also managed to six-link my new chest piece with fusings! Since I don't have the six-link recipe yet. 😅 Not from a lack of searching. It's in the delve somewhere and I will find it.

I also managed to change the sockets to all-blue with only a few of the colour-changing orbs! Great Success!

With my new gear sorted (mostly thanks to a zillion Searing Exarch and Eater of Worlds enchantments) and my slightly updated passive tree at the ready, I dove back into maps and delve and earnt all the XP I could!

I also found my first synthesised map which I kept at the ready. I prefer to do these things at the start of a new level so it doesn't matter if I die. xD

I DID buy a couple of Omens of Reduced XP Loss When Dying, but they're terribly expensive. They're not something I'd like to waste my currency on. I mean. They're helpful! And worth the currency! But I'm a hoarder and I don't want to spend that much. 😆

I'm far more sensible with my currencies in games than I am with real life money, haha!

While delving deep underground in the mines, I discovered a hell of a Vaal Outpost!

Delve, however, doesn't have the new ore that's necessary to run my town. So as much as I would like to delve, I find myself in maps more often than not just to get more fuel for Kingsmarch's upgrades and shipping manifests.

I delved until I hit 95, then I decided to do some other things.

Like that synthesised map I found earlier!

Which, upon completion, gave me another synthesised map and a very special Scholar's Robe... once identified and checked in the pricing program, I discovered I had stumbled across a 1.5 Divine Orb piece of body armour and quickly listed it for sale!

This is the current state of my currency. I have 15 Divine Orbs and 510 Chaos Orbs!

So technically I have enough to splurge on a couple of those XP-Loss Reduction Omens... but we'll see. I'd rather grow my currency to insane numbers I've never had before than to actually use it. xD

Back in Kingsmarch, I had around 300,000 gold stored in the treasury — enough for 7 days of wages! So. I thought I may as well use some gold from the treasury and fully upgrade my shipping yard and my farms.

Then I hopped over to the town recruiter and got rid of a couple of poor performers and replaced them with slightly higher-end men, capable of working with much more efficiency. ALSO a bunch of shipmen, since I now have THREEEEEEEEEE boats! 😁

While I'm freshly 95, I'm going to do a bunch of stuff like some bosses, and the Simulacrum, and grind out some different Timeless splinters from the Legion encounters so I can hop into the five-ways.

Stuff that I would expect to die in, haha.

And then I guess it'll be time to try to level some more. As frustrating as that is. xD
