Last Epoch - Cycle Two has commenced!

...and this time without the days of horrendous server issues that arose during the first Cycle a few months ago.

What is a Cycle, you ask? Well, basically it's a season, or a league. In fact, speaking of leagues, Path of Exile's next one starts at the end of this month — perfect timing as it'll be released just as I'm getting bored of this, probably. xD

So, last time I played Last Epoch I was a necromancer... this time I'm thinking of using the same class, but transforming into a vibrant warlock! No skeleton buddies for me; just the power of evil!

Muahaha!

The mechanic for this Cycle is a harbinger type of thing. On some maps you can find the corpse of a harbinger's victim. When you activate it, you'll see some loot available.

That loot can be obtained by challenging the great evil behind this victim, or you can empower the evil to further enhance these particular items, or, you can just banish it and not bother with it if you feel the loot isn't particularly good or up your alley.

I was lucky and got some spiffy boots from one of these harbinger events. They came with 10 stacks of Weaver's Will, which slowly automatically modifies the gear as you wear them.

They're not really the best shoes ever, but they're pretty good for levelling my little lady through the campaign. Movement speed, health, cooldown recovery, less damage taken, etc. They'll do for now!

Anyway.

I got my little lady to master the ways of the Warlock, and as of finishing up today I am level 38.

I'm looking forward to getting her to the monoliths and arena that make up the endgame... last time I played, the arenas were a bit broken and I didn't fancy doing them since there were aspects of them that just weren't working.

And monoliths... I just didn't see the point in progressing at that time. It didn't seem like I had anything to play for? Not sure how to explain that.

I'm hoping that with all the changes the developers have made for this new cycle, I'll actually want to progress and become uber powerful.

We'll see how it goes! It is an enjoyable ARPG, but it definitely needed some tweaks. Here's hoping they tweaked it well enough for this cycle!

If not... at least I can get my ARPG fix at the end of this month when PoE's new league comes out. XD Either way - I'll update you on my progress in a couple of days!

Until next time! 😊🎮🐲

I recently read several comments that they had added some interesting new content. Personally, I tried it when it came out and I liked what I saw, that is, the characters felt very fun to use. Although after trying it out I saw that it needed a lot of time and I put it aside 😅

It definitely needed a bit more time in the oven when it first released! 😅

It was really fun to play though. The classes all feel really good to use, and I really like their levelling system. But it just lacked that little something...

Apparently they've added a new faction to go along with this harbinger threat, so I'm looking forward to seeing what that adds to the new content too. 🙂 Guess I'll see when I get to endgame! xD

If you have the time, you should pick it up again this cycle and see if you feel it's been cooked enough now. 😁

This games looks just like one of those vampire movies, even the image. The characters though are pretty unique

I'm really attracted to this RPG, in fact I don't know if I'm going to get into this one because I'm looking forward to start Lost Ark, both have similar things that I like but I'm undecided.
