I may or may not be addicted to Palia!

avatar

So, both Palia and Minecraft have taken over my life for the time being. It's a struggle to choose between them!

Palia, however, has more of that grindy addiction that I love so much... on the loading screens, the Palia developers remind their players to eat and stay hydrated. For ADHD people like me who often forget to eat or drink when we're absolutely entrenched in something, it's pretty dang helpful. xD

But yeah, even the devs know how addictive their game can be. Something so simple, yet so... phwoar.

PHWOAR!

Anyway. Continuing on from my last Palia Post! I got gifted a new room to expand my home, have furnished it a little, although not very well, and am actively avoiding the main quest of the game so I can level up my tools and professions and make all the moneys!

20240615103123_1.jpg

So far, at least at this relatively early point in the game, I'm finding gold-star fish and gold-star bugs the best things to grind to sell to make money.

And although it left me with a measly 1000 gold, I decided to use my fishing money to get the large backpack inventory expansion. There's only one more to go after this one! And...... it's 25,000 gold coins! XD

Yeah. It'll be a while before I splurge my cash for that one.

After that backpack splurge, I needed to get my funds back up and soon upgraded all of my tools to "fine" quality. I also upgraded one of my smelters and my machine for turning wood into planks.

For a quest, I needed to go down into the secret underground area to talk to the black market shopkeeper, where I admired some overly priced furniture.

20240615110805_1.jpg

Turns out I arrived in the underground area at an interesting time because there were a good 20 or so people also there enjoying the poker tables and game machines.

This is the first time I've seen so many other players in one place! It's refreshing to see.

I didn't join in the games... I know I'll get distracted. Back in my old Puzzle Pirates days, I lived on the poker tables. Let's not bring it over here, yet anyway. xD

There are these fancy trees that spawn every so often and people throw up flares whenever they're up so more people can get a chance at getting the resources.

I thought that looked quite nice in the middle of the night with flares raining around everywhere and pretty pink dust floating through the air.

Whilst exploring the world, gathering resources, making money, doing just bits of whatever... I discovered the Dragon Shrine. I was able to offer it my collected renown to increase my focus.

So I did that several times! Until I had 500 or so renown left over. Now I can eat a bunch of food all at once and remain at peak gathering capacity for much longer. 😄

20240615202248_1.jpg

With all the materials I've gathered over the past few hours, I decide to make a bunch of furniture and be inspired to learn more furniture so I could increase my furniture crafting skill and get more recipes!

Mostly I need "more recipes!" to learn how to transform bits of silk into a sheet of silk with the fabric maker machine. Plus, it'll be nice to have all possible recipes when I go to properly decorate my house once I'm ready!

20240615212148_1.jpg

All of my furniture crafting also caught the attention of the local craftswoman who, amazed by my progress, gave me more blueprints for my house.

20240615215150_1.jpg

So in order to make way for my future building plans, I bought a bunch of land permissions and de-resourced the entire area.

Once I've claimed all the land as my own, I'll be able to sort my house properly. 😊 And work out where I would like trees and gardens and things and which rooms I would like to further expand my actual building and where to build an epic plot of farmland.

And with that, I began to build the next room of my house. A room that will be re-arranged further down the track, but still, it's there and will be ready for me to begin furnishing soon! xD And by furnishing, I mean dumping random bits of furniture I've created as a placeholder. 😅

More Palia adventures, coming soon! xD

Until next time! 😊✨🍄

Haha, yes! That's probably their secret motive behind the helpfulness. xD

The events that they do to this game are very amazing, I have seen some videos and they are really fun, my computer still can not support this game, but even so, I have fun watching others play in videos.

My cousin's wife has been LOVING this game! Such a cool vibe to it. I downloaded it, got distracted by kids, and completely forgot to actually play it.
