Diablo 4 — Season of the Infernal Hordes
I wasn't going to play Diablo 4 this season. I played at the start of last season, the Season of Loot, and I absolutely loved that season. Got to level 100, got to some endgame content, woo. I finished the season quite satisfied with how I had spent my time.
This new season is cutting it close to the new World of Warcraft expansion, and I'm fresh off the back of a Path of Exile run which I have officially burnt myself out on... and Last Epoch... a whole heap of ARPGs all in a row.
But @pusen wrote a thing extolling the virtues of the new Diablo 4 season... and I couldn't help myself. I downloaded it, made yet another sorceress, and hopped into the game.
Normally I go FIERY GOODNESS with my magic... but this time around I figured I'd do something different. In PoE I just had a blast with an ice/lightning mish-mash, so why not do that again but in this?
Before I started actually playing though, I had a look around the menu.
Thanks to the last two seasons I played and finished the battle pass, I had enough Silver in my shop account to buy another battle pass for this season without spending a cent of real money! Woo.
I also now have a pet who runs around behind me and picks up currency. Huzzah! All the gold is mine!
So! Lightning and ice mish-mash!
I felt uncoordinated as hell. I reached level 25ish, unlocked my main abilities and ultimate. And it just felt whack, unnatural, not right.
So I went pure frost, and meteor for when things are vulnerable. I'll probably change that. I got a unique helm that gave me 4 points in Meteor for free, so that's just what it is for now. We'll see how it progresses!
With my new frosty playstyle, I obviously needed a new frosty transmog.
And it was time to go on a rampage and freeze and shatter everything! Muahaha!
And before I knew it I had reached level 50, completed the first proper dungeon that would enable me to continue on to the next level of difficulty... and called it for the day.
Honestly, I'm not overly fussed with this. It's more a time-waster than anything else whilst I await the new World of Warcraft expansion. But I'm going to continue through it and see what happens. At least finish the entire battle pass and get all the goodies.
NEED ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE GOODIES!
Until next time! 🔥😊😈
Ahhhh so it's @pusen that started this enraging of Diablo again! Honestly the sister wants me to start playing so that she can show me how much fun the game actually is! XD xD not sure if I'm really that keen 😅
It's a pretty fun game! 😊 Once you get right into it, you won't be able to put it down for a couple hundred hours.
I'm not overly fussed at the moment though because I've just spent 2-3 months playing assorted ARPGs, haha. Kinda over it for now. But there are freebies in the pass I need to get, so I'ma get them!
I keep saying that I need to get Diable 4 but I never do! I keep forgetting about it!
It's good but there's also better ways you can spend $90.
The only Diablo game I played was 3 and I loved it.
Wait for it to go on special, then grab it!! 😁 I feel that it's a bit overpriced. Hell, the upcoming expansion for Diablo 4 is the cost of a full AAA game, too. Greedy mofos.
But it is very fun. If you loved D3 you'll love D4!
Jaysus! I might just wait until a deal comes along when both the xpac and main game are bundled together!
It's one of my favourite rpg sagas, I've always wanted to play games number 3 and 4 and I haven't been able to
As for me, I never played the first and second; just the third and fourth. 😅
That's exactly what it is for me. Didn't last all the way to the expansion drop though. Level 70 and I don't really want to keep going.
Oh, damn.
Yeah, I probably won't make it to the drop either. I just want to finish the battle pass since I used all my silver to activate it. xD
