Introducing two of my friends to Spendhbd and shopping at beccatessy store

When I mentioned that I was going to spread #hive and #spendhbd news to all around me I wasn't joking. I did exactly as mentioned by telling my friends about the cashback claim on every purchase when using HBD as means of payment. They were intrigued and ready to get registered as soon as possible, so I contacted my local guide @beauty197 to come around for their mentoring and sign up. We agreed to meet at #beccatessy store because most of my friends live around there and it would be easier for them to navigate through to get there. Time was set to meet up at beccatessy by 4pm but I was there by 3:50pm to inform beccatessy ahead that we would be having a mentorship session for new users and shopping at her store. She was happy and welcomed my idea, she also showed interest in joining in our group shopping and asked series of questions as to how she could do other activities on hive. I helped her download ecency for a start and told her to write her introduction post and to explore the communities to know where she fits in.

Because of low battery she really couldn't do much this evening and beauty197 helped her with powerbank to boost her phone a bit so she can practice on how on generate receipt for payment and scan to claim discounts.
I also sent sample of my introduction post to her to give her an idea of what an introduction post entails.

TWO NEW USERS

I am happy to announce that two of my friends joined hive through Spendhbd project today. One of them got interested when she saw me making a purchase and paying with hive dollars at beccatessy store. She approached and asked what I was doing and why I was taking pictures. I saw it as an opportunity to tell her about hive. So I explained to her about the disount that could help her save to care for other things and the benefit of joining hive. She was wowed and said she would love to join.

My other friend who also joined today came for a visit yesterday and I told her about Spendhbd, she asked lots of questions about the platform and i was able to answer most of them. She was also interested to join so I invited my local guide and my two friends to come around.

Beauty197 assisted them to set up their account and showed them how to make purchases and pay with hbd, and claim their discount. They were really happy to start their hive journey and got happier when their discount was claimed.

The new users who got registered was @happy080 and @chiamaka234.

Because of work and lagos traffic, @chiamaka came really late, we had to wait for her until past 6PM before she arrived. Her account was also set up immediately, our local guide held a mini mentorship session with them where she explained everything about hive and Spendhbd. They all downloaded ecency for easy navigation through the platform and to be able to perform other task in the various communities therein.

Others who also joined in the group shopping was @iquo and myself @kachy2022.

Shopping was fun and exciting and new users were also happy to be a part of the hive community and they will publish their introduction post soon.

Network was not too bad, I think there was an upgrade being carried on #hivekeychain today because the transactions delayed a bit and it kept restarting in the middle of making payments.

After several trial, we succeeded in all purchase, made payments and claimed our discount, hurray!

Afterwards, we took group pictures at beccatessy store and with new users.
Everyone has a busy schedule but I'm happy I created time to support today's shopping and readjusting my time to accommodate new users as at when they would be available to come for the workshop.

APPRECIATION

Many thanks to hive and Spendhbd for this lovely opportunity and I'm grateful to #distriator for the discounts we have to claim after making our purchase. It's indeed a wonderful project tailored to help families have something to eat and having savings set aside for the rainy days ahead.

It was indeed a pleasant shopping experience and I wouid also invite more of my friends next time to come and join hive platform.

The fish I got from beccatessy store was used to prepare delicious native rice. It has been one hectic day for me, so it's time to go have some rest. Thank you all.
