MY INTRODUCTORY POST IN HIVE PLATFORM @kaaforlizzy42

My joy being part of hive community is inexplicable. This happens to be my first post here so I deem it necessary to introduce myself to the amazing people of the hive community, am already feeling good.

My name is Kaafor-Tombari, Elizabeth, a young, vibrant and passionate Nigerian girl, born and bred in the south-south Nigeria, Rivers State to be precise but currently residing in Akwa Ibom State, still in the south-south region as I attempt to obey the clarion call, lifting our nation high under the sun and in the rain with dedication and selflessly serving our father's land.

I am the fifth child in the family 6, four boys and two damsel, I have blessed with the privilege of having my 3 elder brothers have influence over my life, my elder sister, has been more like a mother and my kid brother has been my besty and gist mate. Growing with them has been one of the most amazing privilege, I will leave to appreciate.

ACADEMIC

At an early age I realized that there were more questions than answers about healthy living and good lifestyle modification. A growing interest in understanding the importance of healthy living and community participation in health promotion as I found out that people in the rural areas mostly suffers from preventable illnesses led me to passionately study Community Health in Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology in 2013. Immediately after completing my training I was employed to work as a community health nurse in Health Bridge Medical Consultant in Rivers State and was deeply committed to providing quality care, patient and family health education, monitor and communicate patient health status with nurse’s team and patient care professionals. I developed the ability to stay calm, facilitate team work and collaborate with other medical professionals.

My burning passion for creating health awareness made me to go for a higher degree as a kinetics, health and safety educator in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in 2018. While in school I volunteered with HEALS in promoting health education in schools, religious bodies and communities. I completed my studies in 2021 and by Gods grace, in June 2022, I was posted to Akwa State University were I am currently serving in the department of science education as a corper.

MY HOBBIES

I am a chorister so I love singing, playing violin, playing/blowing recorder, reading and playing volleyball, also love seeking for self-development and improvement on a daily basis, I love to learn and as well share knowledge were ever I find myself.

MY GOAL

To carry out research and implement intervention policies aimed at providing the population with direct access to health care services. Also I inspire to infuse health concepts in young men and women by integrating health awareness in educational programs and conducting campaigns that will elevate a sense of responsibility for a better well-being, and am glad that hive is a the best platform for this goal to find expression, I know that there are health professionals here that will help me make this dream a reality with their wealth of knowledge and experience In the field.

MY ADVICE AS A HEALTH AND SAFETY EDUCATOR TO MEMBERS OF HIVE COMMUNITY.

I know that there is so much for me to learn from this amazing community of lovely people, but I am promising to also give in my best as we join force to make hive a home of health people. To start with, I will share a few health advice that will add value.

• Physical fitness is not only one of the important keys to a healthy body but It is the basis for dynamic and creative intellectual activity

• Just because you are not sick does not mean you are healthy so please make your periodical medical checkup a priority, from time to time.

• To ensure good health, eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness and let your health interest you.
