My review of One fast move : A Blend of Racing, Romance and real life struggles.
Hello movie lovers,
This time around, I decided to switch things up from my usual action-packed fight scenes I love watching and gave this new movie One Fast Move a chance.
It’s a bike-racing drama that just came out this year, and honestly, it wasn’t what I expected, but in a good way.
Plot Summary
The movie is about Wes, a young guy that had the dream of becoming a professional motorcycle racer.
It starts with wes involving himself in a street racing at night, but things went bad when the police showed up. He tried to escape, but ends up getting caught and served six months in prison for engaging in illegal racing.
When Wes gets out of prison, he was on a mission to find his father, who was a professional motorcycle racer. His dad had abandoned him and his mom when he was younger, and now that his mom has passed away, Wes has all these unresolved feelings. His plan was to have his dad train and tutor him, so he can go from being a street racer to something professional and legal.
In the middle of this, Wes meets a gorgeous lady in a restaurant. She caught his eye and he decided to approach her, after series of talking she gave him her contact, and from there , they were in a relationship.

But there was one thing , she’s got a child from a previous relationship, which she didn't bring to his notice earlier on. Still, Wes steps up and treats the kid like his own. The bond they formed was heartwarming, and the kid really starts looking up to Wes as his father.
Where Things Go Wrong
Like most stories, things start to get complicated. Wes never told his girlfriend about the time he spent in prison because he was afraid he might loose her , and to make things worse, his dad doesn’t approve of him dating a single mother. So his dad spills the tea about his past, which causes a huge fight between Wes and his girlfriend.
Now Wes is stuck between following his dream of racing and trying to fix the mess in his relationship. It was hard for him to find that balance, and the tension really builds up here.
Eventually, though, they worked things out and settled their differences. His girlfriend and her son came to support him at his final race. This time, Wes emerges as the winner of the competition. It was really a big moment for him as he was able to reach his aim and fulfill his dream.
What I Liked about the movie
The racing scenes were on point. You could feel the intensity during the races, and that adrenaline rush was what kept me engaged with the movie.
Wes’ emotional struggle felt real. It was not just about racing for him, he was trying to be a better person than his father was, especially when it comes to being there for his girlfriend’s kid.
Also, the romance in the movie wasn’t too much, and it added a sweet touch to the high-energy racing vibe.
What Could’ve Been Better
The ending left me wanting more. After everything Wes went through, it felt a bit rushed. I was hoping for a more satisfying wrap up with his dad, but they just kind of wrapped things up quickly. I think a little more detail there would’ve made my experience with watching the movie, even better.
Final Thoughts
Overall, One Fast Move was a good watch, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re into racing dramas with a pinch of romance. The story was solid, the characters felt real, and the mix of racing action and personal drama made it enjoyable and pleasing to the eye. Just be prepared for an ending that might be a bit quick than expected.
