My favourite pictures and the stories behind them.

We obviously have some specific moments in our lives that are, often in the form of pictures and images.

These images often evoke emotions or feelings and also reminds us of personal experiences or memories that we had in the past.

Today, I will be sharing 3 pictures that are my favourite and the stories behind everyone one of them.

This picture was taken in 2010 when I graduated from Primary school . My primary school journey was a bit tough. I spent 9 years in the primary school , my dad funded my school fees i, but for some reasons best known to him he just stopped paying while i was about getting into the 8th year. I resumed school that day and I was sent back home for not been able to pay my school fees , that was a very sad incident for me and my mum as well. I stayed at home for about a week and my mum decided to look for ways to get me back to school again. I had a blood brother who was studying in Russia and was working as a disc jockey and making his own money. My mum told him everything about my education and he took it upon himself and said he was going to pay my school fees , so I could join my other mates in school as well. It wasn't an easy journey but I was and still grateful and happy I had the priviledge to graduate with my mates. I actually had so much fun and was very excited on this day.

This picture was taken in November 2022 when I joined my classmates in class after i gained admission into the university. I have actually faced alot of problems and bumps in the road concerning my education. I stayed at home for 2 years , seeking for admission into the university.

Right from the moment my dad stopped funding my school fees , my brother paid everything till my last year at high school.

During those times , he was a bachelor and had no wife or children to take care of so it was easier for him , but at the period i finished from high school he was already married with kids and had more responsibility.

The money to fund a private university in Nigeria is very high so as soon as I wrote my final year exams and graduated from from high school I decided to apply for admission at a federal University at Abeokuta. It was at this moment my father called me and said he would fund my school fees to a private university called "Babcock" . I was very happy because of course everyone would love to attend a Private university in Nigeria due to the problems that comes with studying in federal universities . Later on , I sat for the exam at the federal University and just did anything and failed the exam because I thought i had an alternative. What was very painful and brought so much sorrow to my life is the fact that he pushed me to this school, and immediately I was given admission into the school I called him , told him about this great news , then he said "he can't fund my school fees again". at this point it was looking more like a movie to me , different things where just going through my head at that point " is this man okay?? , is this actually a curse or something because this is the second time this is happening.

I was already happy to be attending that school and he pulled out just like that. I begged him , did everything i could but is still insisted he had no money to pay. He even went as far as saying "He doesn't even know if he is my real father and I should ask my mum who my real father is"

I actually cried and told my mum , she was just calm as usual and told me to take things easy ,at the end of the day, I had to wait at home for a year and enroll for admission into the school , i am studying presently because admission into other schools was closed.

My mum is my current sponsor in this Private university called "Bowen University" , just been able to gain admission into this school and be in class after so many trials and tribulations is just a thing of joy for me. Many of my mates have graduated from the university this year but I am still thankful for where I am today. This has been one of my favourite pictures because it brings back memories and what I had to go through before i was finally granted admission into the university.

I love this picture alot and if you have noticed you would have seen I have posted it alot of times on my blog. I asked my mum about this picture and she said it was taken when I was 2 years old. It was a photoshoot that was done for my four elder siblings as well while they were 1 , but mine was taken while i was two years old because i didn't walk until i got to that age. It is actually one of my favourite pictures because it me gives me a glance of what I looked like while I was young because obviously i wouldn't be able to know that at that age. Atleast, i know I had a bad hairline from childhood 😅.

Thanks for reading.

Those are really beautiful pictures with sentimental memories behind them. Some day, you’ll have a lot of stories to tell after you’ve become great. Thank you for sharing.
