It's secular music for me.

From my childhood days, I have been exposed to both gospel and secular music. However, I have found myself gravitating more towards secular music.

There's no denying the fact that both types of music have the power to evoke deep emotions and offer lyrics that resonate with the listeners. I have had moments where gospel songs has moved me to tears, and likewise, certain secular songs, have touched me deeply. I guess that's just the power music holds.

As a Christian, gospel music plays an essential role in my life. It's a music i can't stop listening to, and I usually feel it's impact especially during service in the church, the songs are what makes those church service to be more exciting and uplifting , beyond just the sermon alone. It’s often the music that helps to create moments of worship and praise that are unforgettable.

Same thing applies to secular music. They have impact in people's lives whenever they choose to listen to them, it could bring about a reflection and even make them see the need to give love a chance again.

Also, both gospel and secular artists have the ability to bring people together. Gospel musicians usually host events that gather people from various places to gather, worship and celebrate God and sing his praises with their voices. Secular artists also hold concerts and shows that brings people together from different backgrounds, tribes and even countries.

The point I am making here is that both gospel and secular music are important and impactful their own way. But if I had to choose, I would definitely go with secular music. It’s been a significant part of my life, both at home , school and even other places. I listen to it almost every day, and although I still enjoy gospel music, but the way I vibe with secular songs is just on another level.

Recently, I’ve been hooked on certain songs that have resonated deeply with me, and has given me goosebumps. One of them is "Residuals" by Chris Brown. I first heard it on TikTok, where he performed it live, and I immediately fell in love with the song. The power of his voice was undeniable, and after watching a few videos of girls moved to tears by it, I decided to listen to the full music. Although it's a love song, but i just cant stop playing it over and over again.

Another song that grabbed my attention recently was a cover of Dua Lipa’s "Be the One", performed by South African artists Lloyiso and Yadani. I came across it yesterday, and despite it being a short cover, I loved every moment of it. Their voices blended well, and they sang beautifully that it left a lasting impression on me.

In the end, while I appreciate the beauty and spiritual significance of gospel music, secular music is what I listen to the most and it has been a woven into the fabric of my daily routine.

I was just about to delegate you 1000HP for a while to help you vote on others and earn additional curation...the realised (after checking) that you self-vote which is something I don't agree with. It's ok, you can do what you like with your own vote, but I'll not have my HP delegated to someone who self-votes.

I am very sorry sir, I promise if you do me this favour. I won't self-vote . Pls I am actually very sorry, I didn't realise it was an issue but now I know. Pls do me this favor, I won't be ungrateful 🙏. If you delegate it to me and you see me self vote, just take it back.

Self-voting is selfish in my opinion. Voting for others, no matter how small your vote is, gives them a boost and if a comment is also left can help an account build better relationships and it's relationships that build accounts.

Anyway, I'll be delegating to someone who doesn't self-vote for a while and may review the situation down the track. I prefer to support people who support the blockchain and I don't believe self-voting does that at all.

I didn't even realise all this , I just normally upvote myself for the sake of it not for any reason. But from now on, I will for sure put a stop to it and I hope you can maybe change your mind along the line.
