Jey Uso's Journey in the King of the Ring Tournament
Jey Uso is really putting on a show at WWE RAW. Tonight, he will have to face Ilja Dragunov in the Tournament of the King of the Ring. He had taken over for Drew Mcintyre last week and defeated Finn Balor. But now, it’s Dragunov he would be facing; its going to be fierce.
What’s awesome is that Jey came with his son. It’s nice to see family supporting each other like this especially in something as big as the King of the Ring Tournament.
In my opinion, I think Jey has been doing very well lately. During WWE Backlash, he had an opportunity at the world heavyweight championship against Damian Priest. Although he didn’t win, he put up a good fight.
Nonetheless, winning King of the Ring would be massive for him. Its a major chance and could really lift his career up but Vince Russo believes Carmelo Hayes would be better off. Hayes looks impressive plus has many prospects before him.
I understand why Russo believes Hayes is a good choice. He’s young, gifted, and he has already defeated Baron Corbin. Moreover, he was drafted to SmackDown so winning the King of the Ring would be an ideal way for him to get his feet wet in the main roster.
Conversely Jey Uso winning would also be pretty cool. The man has been doing this for quite some time now and has always proved himself worthy. It could be a significant step in his career if he wins the King of the Ring and I think it’s time he does.
In general, I am on Jey Uso’s side for him to win the King of the Ring. However, whatever happens there is one thing that I am certain about; he will give it his all and put up an amazing performance. And just maybe we could see him with that King of the Ring crown at the end.
It turns out Jey Uso won the match and has advanced
