Recent Flood And Famine In Nigeria

Recently there is a news as regards the level flood this year which I made as a post with the link below.

Flood is a natural disaster that can be controlled if proper measures are been carried out effectively.
Measures like building dam to channel the water which can later be used for irrigation during the dry season farming.
But right now, reverse is the case because a lot of commercial farms have been over taken by the flood.
This is another impending disaster coming because large scale farming best known as commercial farming is what saves the state or a country from global hunger crises.
Right now as I speak, some farms especially commercials has been carried away by the flood. So it’s incumbent we need to make plans right now if your area has been affected by the flood disaster.
I learnt the flood keeps increasing on a daily as long as rain still falls, Right now, I wouldn’t blame Cameroon because their dam is already filled up and they need to release water coming from bigger ocean. But ever since the government of Nigeria has noticed the issue flood, they are much reluctant in constructing a dam to prevent flood.
I am much concerned about the skyrocketing prices of food stuff after major commercial farms have been damaged.
This indicates Nigerians may not be able to afford the high cost of feeding especially those who lives below the minimum wage level.

Flooding is a serious issue, and with yours, it is directly impacting the food supply. I pray that the government steps in and does the right thing.
We have a similar issue ongoing here; our river floods; they won't dredge it to help the situation because of politics. If we get the rains like last year, it will devastate an already crippled area.

Flood prevention measures are often long termed projects requiring much resources, planning and time. Its hard to predict extreme instances of weather, but coupled with economic turmoil will be expected to make living very difficult for the poor. I hope your government can make the good decisions to minimize the impact.
If they are ready to, they can go ahead because we have literally everything to ensure this can be prevented but corruption in politics won't permit the right to be done. Everyone wants to have a share in national budget, keep on burrowing and stuff. Thanks for reading dear, have a lovely day.
This is actually a serious issue if the government did not attend to it on time because the hike of food stuffs too is really frustrating, hunger is one thing that should not be toyed with.
I pray God intervene because our Nigeria government do not seems as if they are bothered at all.

Of a truth many lives has been lost because of this flood...my prayer is that God will help us with good leaders with conscience regarding to humanity and matters relating to the affairs of the society.
