Wisdom In Disguise
Once upon a time of war, there lived a soldier called Jacob, and even as a soldier, this man is happily married to the love of his life, Mariam, but the lovely couple has not been blessed with children yet.
Now Jacob was a successful soldier of his time, and being that the season, was a time of war, he had his hands full with weapons for war, to protect his family and settlement.
Disclaimer: Don't worry about security, God will protect you!, Try it and see what war will do to you.
Jacob had a brother, whose name was Jefferson and has been living close by the residence of Jacob. The two brothers have always loved each other and even became brothers also in arms, so they shared a very good bond with each other.
But Jefferson loved Mariam, his brother's wife, and has not yet married for obvious reasons. He has always envied Jacob's success, (imagine, why does Jacob have to be the one to be promoted and not me, why does he get to take to marriage the one I love? Of which, was his thought), but Jefferson never shared this grieve with his brother.
Time after time, Jefferson plots a way to get rid of Jacob, in order to claim his wife for his own, for so is their tradition (that it is Legitimate for a man to marry his brother's widow), until he came to a really ugly and usual solution.
Since Jacob was a soldier, Jefferson was able to arrange a fake war alert for him, that will end his life for good. Not knowing what his brother had planned,Jacob got the fake message, and began preparation for war.
Disclaimer: Okay let's see, he got ready his gun for a start, you know, to gi gi gi the enemy.
And then his Armor;
And now let's not forget the most crucial detail, Kaboom... To slay multiple enemies at once;
Oh I almost forgot, it's just a false alarm, just a false alarm guys, we are not going to hear any action today. Moving on!
Yet in preparation, Jacob told his wife to do something for him, and then went to his beloved brother's house.
Disclaimer: Come on..., Why can't we know what you told your wife Jacob, not fare😎😜🤪.
When Jacob reached his brother's house, he saw Jefferson looking more happy than usual, but trying to hid it. Jefferson then, welcomed Jacob with a wine and offered him a seat, but Jacob said that won't be necessary, and with no hesitation, put his hand in his pocket and brought out his house key.
Disclaimer: What is he about to do, wait... No!
It came as shock to Jefferson, when Jacob told him to take over his household, if the news comes out that he is dead. Jefferson smiled in a hidden way and said in his mind "don't worry you will die even if you are able to win the war, I'll make sure of it". Jacob left and his brother's words was "farewell brother".
Immediately Jacob left, Jefferson left for Jacob's house, to look for his love(Jacob's wife).
Disclaimer: I knew it! This brother is not to be trusted, have you seen it.
Jacob was about to enter into the war zone, when Jefferson shouted from behind Jacob, "wait!.. ", then Jacob looked back and saw his brother running towards him, so he stood still.
When Jefferson caught up with Jacob, he said, "you forgot to give me the keys to the gate". Immediately, Jefferson understood what was going on, and Jacob laughed in a convincing manner to show Jefferson how foolish he was, playing pranks on him.
Jacob told Jefferson that, "I gave you my house key, but I knew something was fishy so I gave Mariam the gate key first before going to your house and told her to lock the gate from inside, unless she hears the news that I'm dead, she should not open it.
Disclaimer: But how did he know our little plan? This guy is impossible.
And you my brother I thought you cared for me, but all you really care about was your own desire, I I'm not even dead yet, but you still went ahead to my house, which means you already take me to be dead".
Disclaimer: Stupid stupid stupid, he should have waited at least.
Due to the little love Jefferson had for his brother, he felt remorse, and began to cry, confessing his done and undone wrong against his brother and asked for forgiveness.
He was forgiven, but unless he should be tempted to do so again, Jacob took Mariam and moved far away from Jefferson, that was until he got married.
And they lived happy slightly after, you want to know why? because both Jacob and Jefferson fought side by side in a war and yet they still lose, so they died, and both their wives were not happy ever after (I'm so sorry, you thought it was going to end happily, but...). The End.
A Little Advice;
The worst mistake Jefferson made was not to acknowledge his brother's wisdom.
Thanks for reading✌️.
