Discovering Hive- One Of The Best Things That Happened To Me In 2022!

I sat down on my couch this morning and took a short tour down memory lane. What was the best thing that happened to me last year? Such an amazing topic to think about on a glorious Tuesday morning.

The year 2022 didn't start well for me. The first few months were not smiling as I had to deal with a lot of things. However, something beautiful happened that turned the table around. That beautiful thing erased the awful experience that had happened. It showed me light and made my year a memorable one.

The best thing that happened to me in the year 2022 was discovering and joining hive blockchain. Hive is a big game changer for lots of people, and I'm one of the large percentage of people that can boldly say joining the blockchain is one of the best things that has ever happened to us. The blockchain has helped us in so many aspects. Financially, socially and even mentally.

I said earlier that the first few months of 2022 were not so good for me. I lost a lot of things that broke, but thanks to hive that came into my life and changed everything.

I have lots of work experience. I've worked in different companies and with different bosses. I started working shortly after I graduated from high school. I had plans. Big plans that required lots of money. That is why I started working to make money. I believed in myself. After making lots of money (well, it wasn't a lot, but considering the age I was it was a lot for me then). I lost the money to a family member who eloped with it. I started from scratch again. I got a job in a gym. I started working as a gym secretary. I Earned little, but I wasn't happy with it. I wanted something big and stable. Where I can improve and earn with my passion (writing).

I loved writing. I started writing at a very young age. I remember I wrote my first book at the age of 10. I stopped writing when my first book got stolen, but I picked interest in it again when I got to my senior years in high school. I stopped writing again when I started working.

After I lost my savings, I was broken. I needed something to clear my head. It was then that a friend of mine introduced me to hive. He told me so much about the blockchain, and I fell in love with it immediately. I heard I could write and make money from it. I wanted to improve my writing skills and make cool cash while doing it. Hive gave me a golden opportunity to do that and I grabbed it with warm hands.

I joined the hive blockchain on June 01, 2022 and I wrote my introduction post the next day (June 02, 2022).

When I joined the blockchain, everything was new to me. Everything seemed like magic as I was new to the blockchain. Power up, HBD, Hive Power, Delegations, etc. Were all sounding strange. I made lots of mistakes that would’ve gotten me into trouble. I remember my first ever mistake on the blockchain. I posted two times in two days in the inkwell community. My second mistake was not reading the community (ink well) rules, I wrote a violence-related story and posted it in the community. Although the story was amazing, it was against the community rules.

Writing and getting low votes didn't motivate me to write well on the blockchain. Several times, I put in my best in my writing and expect to get votes, but end up getting nothing. It was pretty hard to deal with it.

I discovered that the blockchain isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. Nothing comes for free. You have to work very hard to grow your account on the blockchain. You have to be consistent, persistent, and hardworking. I discovered that if you don't have anything to offer you'd get nothing from the blockchain. So I decided to offer my time and put more effort into my writing skills.

Thanks to the friends that helped me breakthrough. I can't count the number of times Dm’ed some people and asked them loads of questions and they were always ready to answer.

I discovered that engagement is a vital key to growing your account on the blockchain. I explored different communities. Writing on the blockchain helped me improve my writing skills.

I also joined the hive learners newbies initiative and I came out as one of the best three students. Asides from the fact that I got 30 hives as reward, the initiative dived into different aspects of the blockchain and I learned a lot from it.

The Neoxian city. The city that never sleeps. A city under the Dragon’s wings. Discovering the Neoxian city is one of the best things I did since I joined the blockchain. The city is a big family. A place where you'll never feel left out. A big family that has it all.

City greeters that are there to welcome you warmly. City gifman is there to make you smile. Your health matters, that is why we have a city doctor. The city game master is there to make your weekend fun. Chatters also play a big role in the city. They keep the server active day and night. They keep you company, make you laugh and smile.
