Wonders Of the Waters | LMAC FreeStyle Collage No. 26

For my Freestyle Collage No. 26, my theme is a reflection of my thoughts today. Some days my thoughts wake up to a gleeful sunrise. Other days, my thoughts reel until a steady hand grabs hold and guides them back to some sense of normalcy.

Today is not one of those days where my thoughts began cheerful enough. But just as the sun is destined to set, my thoughts are destined to wander off the deep end and into perhaps the unimaginable.

I wanted to create two scenes that depict these thoughts.

My first scene is centered around the sublime and beautiful aspect of nature and its interaction upon the animal kingdom. My focus was on the majestic elephants and their plight. I wrote about this previously, so in this scene, I decided to focus on them finding safe harbor.

My second scene involves aliens. A male and two females venture to Earth. They were sent on a discovery mission. Instructed to remain hidden underwater, they went undetected for several decades. Evidently, their physical characteristics allowed them to adapt to the aquatic surroundings.

However, they couldn't prevent humans from conducting underwater research. They were discovered by a diver exploring the strange sights inside a cave.

In preparing my scenes, I utilized two previous LMAC contest photos that I thought worked well together to provide a skyline and an underwater landscape:

For the elephant crossing scene, I didn't want to crowd the scene with numerous animals since I only wanted to focus on the elephants. I included the following images:

For the alien scene, I located two images I felt also worked well together. One was a male cyborg, the other was a female alien. An unusual pair to dwell in the ocean deep.
