Change Is Welcomed | LET'S MAKE A COLLAGE: ROUND #150 (Complimentary)
Let's Make a Collage ("LMAC") has reached a new milestone this week with its Round #150. That's to be celebrated. I'm happy to continue my participation with a nice landscape image to work with in creating my collages with a theme I titled "Change is Welcomed".
To create the scene, I began with the photograph provided by @shaka in his contest post: Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 150 - ✨149 HIVE in the Prize Pool!

COLLAGE #1: Metamorphosis
For my first collage, the premise that change is inevitable has been long recognized and celebrated as necessary. Nothing remains stagnant. Either you embrace it or be swept up in the turmoil that follows resistance.
Individuals who welcome change in their lives look forward to a passage. Old things are left behind and passed away. It can be just a change in attitude or a way or looking at a situation that encompasses a part of your life.
For some, change may mean a renewal. Peeling back layers or shedding the old person and embracing the new, inner self. In my youth, I was resistant to any type of change in my life.
As a senior citizen, I've come to realize it will happen no matter how I feel or what I do about it. I firmly believe that there is a season for all things. Passing from one stage in life to another is growth as I see it. Not only do you age, but also you may gain wisdom.
COLLAGE #2: A Change of Solitude
For my second collage, the theme is "friends and family are welcome". After living in isolation, it's nice to renew friendships and invite others into your life.
One can become complacent in a particular way of life. The opportunity to learn and share information by inviting others into your life may result in a positive shift of one's perspective.
Social interaction is key to one's well being. I'm not meaning to say that one should live constantly in others' presence outside one's immediate family circle. Occasionally it's good to interact.
I wanted to portray a lonely individual who lived in a secluded area. She had family, but didn't interact with them. She had closed herself off from all human contest. Likewise, her family and friends didn't want to interact with her. It may have been her lifestyle of living among enchanted creatures whom she understood.
Growing increasingly lonely for human companionship, one day she decided to change her lifestyle. She decided to host a party for relatives and friends. First, she constructed a WELCOME sign. Then she decorated her tree house with the assistance of her forest friends. Next, she invited them, and they were delighted, to meet her family.
In the end, human family and friends decided she wasn't so different after all. Communication was all that was required. Her young nieces and nephews enjoyed themselves as they explored the tree house and beyond. They came to learn of the various mushrooms she grew in her greenhouse, wonders of the forest, and all its inhabitants thanks to their unusual aunt.
They even left with her photos from the outside world. She framed them and decorated the outside of her tree house so that she could see her family whenever she wished. The annual forest visit was placed on their calendar to see what was new in her world.
Collage #1 Supporting Images
To create my Collage #1 theme, I again relied upon stable diffusion programs to assist in creating several images. StarryAI and Night Cafe are two of the stable diffusion programs I've come to rely upon to render awesome images from my descriptive text prompts. The results I feel are dramatic and bold.

I located an image of a stone structure in the LIL contributed by @agmoore that I love to include in my themes. My fractal I created that resembles a portal rounded out the additional images. I uploaded the contest photo and all images into Canva to blend my scene utilizing my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.

To create my Collage #2 theme, I decided again to enlist the services of stable diffusion to create a woman who resembled a spinster. Images from the LIL helped also to create a mysterious forest scene.

They are both amazing, but I really love the second one. All the specific touches--the mushrooms, the lady peeking from the tree, the frogs, the eye: just wonderful.
Thank you for using my stone image. I'm not even sure what that is. My son guesses it is an ancient boundary marker (as in property line) but I don't know.
Good luck this week, @justclickindiva. I hope you are well (better) and that you have had a happy Thanksgiving.
Hello. I'm doing good. Just some offline family matters rose up the last month. I love the stone image. It works well in adapting the colors to whatever theme I'm using. It's handy to place items on.
Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate it. Take care and have a good rest of your week.

Lovely art and philosophy about the important of interacting with others.
Thanks for including the sign with the frogs. It looks perfect to welcome visitors to her tree house.
Hope your are having a wonderful weekend @justclickindiva. 😊
Wow, the Welcome sign does fit perfectly with the theme of living in the forest. Members contributing to the LIL find the most unique items. I didn't think I'd ever use the Welcome sign, but never say never...I loved it.
Thanks for visiting and your lovely words. I appreciate your constant support of my work.
Take care and have a good remaining week.
