Try And Try Till You Succeed

Hello everybody,

Last Saturday, @diosarich personal message me, requesting to teach her how I made the crocheted heart earrings because she will be making a belt. She send me an FB link similar to my dangling heart earrings, how it was made. When I viewed the reels, it was indeed beautiful heart series but oh oh super fast I can't get the tutorial. So, I promised her I will video my own version and try my best to copy it.

But, yesterday, it was brown out here in our City since 6 am, so hot that my hubby decided we went on a road trip. On the Van, I brought along materials the 5 ply cotton monaco mercerized thread and 1.9mm silver hook. I tried and tried, but to my dismay it formed into a leaf not heart shape.

We arrived home late in the evening, and I was so tired with our travel. I did not continue my experiment. Then, this morning, @diosarich follow up again where is my video tutorial. I ask her what will be her materials for the belt. She will use double pull 3 ply monaco mercerized thread. So, I search from my stash the same materials.

And, started crocheting with many samples.

For me, it is still a leaf shape. So, I viewed again the video, and tried again. Aha, this time it is indeed a heart shape already!

How about you guys, is it acceptable already?

I love the leaf shape so I thought it is time to make for my Crypto Enthusiast friend, a pink earrings because her fave color is pink so I quickly made one for her.

Using smaller hook to weave ends.

Done, but still soft, so I brush it with natural nail polish to become hard just like hard earrings plus to protect the cotton of dirt.

The color changes to deep pink which I like.
