Golden Cat Earrings For My Perusal

Hello everybody,

Today's hot off the hook, golden Cat earrings.

This coming Saturday, July 22, will be our USJR Grand High School Alumni Homecoming 2023. I belong to Batch 1973 celebrating Golden Jubilarians together with @mers but she can't come home to the Philippines,she is living in Vienna, Austria. Her cousin which is also my classmate will be claiming her tshirt, certificate and other freebies.

For me I already decided I can't attend because of my caregiving responsibilty to hubby. I even did not attend any of my batchmates meeting since last year. Then, this morning, I read my eldest daughters personal message, sending me screenshot of my classmate, Elena, telling her to convince me to attend our Alumni Reunion because many from the States and others that is living far away is going to attend then how come that me only living nearby can't attend. I told hubby about it and decided I will attend the Reunion. During our program he will just stay inside the Van at the parking lot, my son and grandson will take care of him.How happy I am with this turn of events. I right away personal message the official of our batchmates informing them I can attend that day. Thankful I am already included on the program's list to receive my certificate.

I was a little bit excited this morning, thinking of something I can crochet that is quick and easy to match our outfit of the day which is black pants and Golden Jubilarian tshirt. Aha, I remembered I have still extra gold thread.

I searched right away my crochet inspiration I kept in my gallery. I decided, I will make the cat earrings I saw in Pinterest.

First I made as a test this one. But the tail is too thick with single crochet.

Next try, I made the tail using slip stitch. I love the result. Then, at the neck should be a true gold chain but I don't have it, so, I chain 8 the gold thread, having a hard time to knot at the back, but I did it.

Then, I applied natural or colorless nail polish to stiffen.

Walah! I have my golden cat earrings!

Ready to rumble on Saturday. Praying we will have a good weather on that day.
