Crocheting Another Steering Wheel Cover

Hello everybody,

Last August 08, we bring home a Black Vios, hubby bought it at a 2nd hand car dealer because my son need it in submitting geotechnical reports to the clients, the multi-cab he used before was down. During the project the back tires broke down. It was good they were just near the site when it happened but they were in the middle of the street, all his drillers jumped off the car when my son who was driving shouted and stopped the car that the tires broke down. Later it was towed away and brought to our mechanic, so, he must have another car to use.

When my son saw this black vios, I do not like it because of its color, but my son insisted he must have it that day because he will deliver 3 reports the next day.Besides, we were all tired of negotiating with other car dealers but the car papers was not complete. So, who am I to resist.

When we went home, my mind was the design of the steering wheel cover I can crochet. I search in Pinterest and YouTube. Very timely my online friend Emy Hafez sent me a link of her YouTube Tutorial on a unique granny square. The following day I measured right away the steering wheel.

And, made my first granny square.

Using 5ply Monaco Cotton and crochet 2.00mm hook.

I estimated I need 8 granny squares so I crocheted them first before joining with the black for edging.

After joining 7 squares I tried it on the steering wheel because it stretch but when I tried it, my estimate with 8 grannies is the exact count it really fits the steering wheel. It was time to cook for dinner so I stopped crocheting. Hoping tomorrow I can sew it on the steering wheel.
