Just Finished our Landscape Project @South Forbes, Laguna Philippines

Hmmm, okay! Before I explain how this project was done, let me share a quick story about why we undertake landscaping projects. I am a licensed civil engineer, but here on Hive, I am mostly an artist (at heart, lol). Well, we came from a not-so-well-off family. hmmm I would say we were below average. If my parents didn't work for even a day, we wouldn't have food on our table. Part of what they did was plant trees, flowers, and other plants to sell, just to fill our stomachs and send us six kids to a nearby public school. And luckily, one day we got a contract with one of the giant companies here in the Philippines to be their landscapers. I think this was probably around 2003 or 2004; I was just a young pup back then. We were able to afford things we couldn't buy before. However, a lot was going on, and my parents decided to focus on other things, so they stopped the business for a while. Unfortunately, we fell on hard times again.

To cut the story short, so now I decided to continue this business along with my brother and sisters, there are two things I wanted first is to continue the legacy(which my parents wanted well more so on my mother since she is really damn competitive) and the other thing is I wanted a life where my future kids or grand kids will not strive so hard to get the things they wanted or just even to survive.

Anyway the photos below are the finished design we just got done just a week ago and we will visit the site again once the grass and other plants became more beautiful. For this particular project the client requested to remove the old frog grass and changed it into a variegated one(variegated usually has white colors and mostly more expensive than regular ones).

We actually designed the plants here a decade ago and the client is a friend of ours asked us to rectify whatever problems, clean stuffs and basically redesign everything so it took us more than two weeks of work since the place is in a exclusive subdivision working hours should be between 8am to 4pm strictly.

The Batanes tree/plant got trimmed by one of our old gardeners who specializes in trimming bushes and plants. Also we decided to put a big fern on top of that water feature, behind that is a comfort room.

We also rework the stones which are more expensive than regular ones because they are decorative stones which are mostly used in landscaping. The bonsai or bonsay got trimmed as well, my mother said that the bonsais of our client costs 2000 USD or more per piece.

For now, that is all I can explain since I am just a newbie in this business. I am learning from my masters, who are my parents 😂. Anyway, that is all for now. If you happen to be in the Philippines and can recommend a client for us, just DM us on our page. We will give you referral fees if you bring us a sure client.
