He asked me to plant a small plant to take to the classroom. I immediately helped him with that and I wanted to plant even more.

Although I can tell you that my mother also has this hobby, she has had plants in pots all her life. Cactus, platicerios, orchids, mantas, evergreens, crocuses and daisies, among other species. Those are the popular names because the truth is that I don't know the scientific names.
I tell them that every time I find a disposable pot, a knob, a well, a broken tank, I think that it can be a flowerpot. It is a good way to recycle, giving useful life and taking care of the environment avoiding that they become garbage. Plants also help to take care of the environment by the exchange of gases that they produce and by the beauty they bring to the environment.

When I have the pot I put fresh soil in it with organic compost that I have prepared using kitchen waste and animal manure. Then I look for the plant to plant either with seeds, leaves or buds or cuttings as appropriate. I water them periodically and see to it that they get some sun according to their species.
I have many cactus and succulents as well as thorny plants such as the so-called crown of Christ, also the garden pineapple. My wife likes me to plant them in small pots to give to a friend, especially cactus, which are now in fashion.

I get the plants from neighbors or friends, so I dream of giving back to those who want to plant as well. Planting plants has multiple benefits, it helps to control stress and worries, it is an ideal activity to occupy free time. They give a nice and fresh look to un the place where they are and contribute to the improvement of the environment. They can be used as a gift and for sure they contribute to love nature and the species that live in it.

It is my favorite hobby, I would like to take gardening courses to improve my techniques. My mom says that I have a very good hand because everything I plant is very good for me.

Something I would love is to be able to grow bonsai, I have never tried it. I will try to look for information and a course to get it right. I dream of small lemons or mangoes, fruit of miniature trees but with a lot of vitality.
I would also like to get my son more involved in this activity, although he sometimes puts water on them he has not yet planted ornamental plants.
