Mi visita al parque Jaime Duque Colombia| My visit to Jaime Duque Park

El día de hoy les quiero contar mi visita al parque Jaime Duque, que está ubicado a unos pocos kilómetros de Bogotá, en un municipio llamado Tocancipá, Cundinamarca (Colombia). En este parque hay diferentes museos y atracciones muy interesantes, como el Taj Mahal, el monumento a Dios, entre otras cosas estupendas.

Today I want to tell you about my visit to Jaime Duque Park, which is located a few kilometers from Bogotá, in a municipality called Tocancipá, Cundinamarca (Colombia). In this park, there are different museums and very interesting attractions, such as the Taj Mahal, the monument to God, among other wonderful things.

Yo ya había ido unas dos veces al parque cuando era más pequeña, pero decidí volver porque no recordaba muchas cosas, así que planee con mi novio invitar a mi suegra de cumpleaños.
El parque en esos momentos estaba inaugurando una zona de senderos y a mí me encanta estar por la naturaleza, entonces entramos primero allí. En el recorrido nos encontramos diferentes estatuas que contaban los relatos de la mitología muisca.

I had already been to the park about two times when I was younger, but I decided to go back because I didn't remember many things. So, I planned to invite my mother-in-law for her birthday with my boyfriend.
The park was inaugurating a trail area at that time, and I love being in nature, so we went there first. During the walk, we came across various statues that narrated the stories of the Muisca mythology.

Principalmente, contaron que costumbres tenían los muiscas, cuáles eran sus objetos más preciados y sus dioses más venerados, como “Bachué” quien para ellos era la diosa creadora de todo.
Según la historia muisca, Bachué era una mujer que emergió de una laguna junto a su hijo en brazos. El hijo creció y se convirtió en su esposo, para después junto a su madre engendrar a la humanidad muisca.

They mainly explained the customs of the Muisca people, what their most precious objects were, and their most revered gods, such as 'Bachué,' who was considered by them as the goddess creator of everything.
According to the Muisca history, Bachué was a woman who emerged from a lagoon with her son in her arms. The son grew up and became her husband, and later, together with his mother, they gave birth to the Muisca humanity.

Me pareció muy lindo el recorrido y pudimos aprender nuevas cosas de la historia precolombina.

Luego nos dirigimos la reserva natural del Bioparque que alberga diferentes tipos de animales, como serpientes, avestruces, flamencos, monos y otros maravillosos animales. El recorrido por la reserva fue muy genial, había animales que nunca había visto en mi vida y eran más grandes de lo que imaginaba.

I found the tour very beautiful, and we were able to learn new things about pre-Columbian history.
Later, we headed to the natural reserve of the Biopark, which houses different types of animals such as snakes, ostriches, flamingos, monkeys, and other wonderful creatures. The tour of the reserve was amazing; there were animals I had never seen in my life, and they were larger than I had imagined.

Ya después fuimos a diferentes museos, como el museo del hombre, que es bastante largo, pero es muy entretenido y se aprende bastante de diferentes culturas. También llegamos a la zona de barcos, había un barco tipo piratas del mar caribe y otro que parecía un buque de guerra, aquí logramos observar como estaban conformados los barcos en su interior.

Later on, we visited different museums, such as the Museum of Man, which is quite extensive but very entertaining, providing a lot of learning about various cultures. We also reached the area of ships, where there was a Caribbean pirate ship and another that resembled a warship. Here, we were able to observe the interior structure of the ships.

En esta experiencia todos la pasamos muy genial, estuvo un poco cansado, ya que es un parque grande y quisimos recorrerlo todo. Además, siento que es un parque que permite conectar con la naturaleza y por mi parte me ayuda a querer cuidarla. Me encantaría volver y a mi suegra también.

In this experience, we all had a great time. It was a bit tiring as it is a large park, and we wanted to explore everything. Moreover, I feel that it's a park that allows a connection with nature, and personally, it motivates me to want to take care of it. I would love to go back, and so would my mother-in-law.
