¡Mi postre favorito de octubre! El turrón de Doña Pepa 😋 [ESP/ENG]

¡Qué hay amigos! Estaba muy ansioso porque llegue octubre y poder probar uno de mis postres favoritos de toda la vida, el turrón de Doña Pepa. Aunque la verdad es que siempre busco la manera de comerlo en cualquier mes del año jajajaja

Para quienes no están muy enterados, el turrón es un dulce tradicional peruano asociado con la celebración del Señor de los Milagros. Está hecho de múltiples capas de galletas rectangulares bañadas en miel aromatizada y decoradas con coloridos confites y otras golosinas. Es un postre muy popular en Perú y es especialmente consumido durante el mes morado (octubre).

Si bien hay decenas de tiendas y marcas que ofrecen este dulce a los alrededores de la Iglesia las Nazarenas, yo conozco el lugar donde se prepara el mejor turrón de Doña Pepa de todo Lima. La panadería “Las Nazarenas” es el sitio donde siempre acudo a llevarme varios kilos de turrón al año, pues son elaborados de manera artesanal y al instante. Para los que quieran visitarlo, queda en Jr. Huancavelica 431, Centro Histórico de Lima.

Además de ir a la panadería de siempre, decidí darle la oportunidad a otro turrón que me recomendaron, el cual se vende en la pastelería “San Martín” y, a decir verdad, tiene un buen sabor, incluso mejor que el de varios turrones industriales que se venden actualmente, pero no logra superar al turrón de “Las Nazarenas”. It is made of multiple layers of rectangular cookies dipped in flavored honey and decorated with colorful candies and other goodies. The bakery "Las Nazarenas" is the place where I always go to take several kilos of nougat a year, because they are made by hand and instantly.
