[ENG-SPN] The enigmatic sacred mountain of Montserrat / La enigmática montaña sagrada de Montserrat

Who hasn't let their imagination fly, reading the incredible stories of Jules Verne? Who has not been captivated by the greatness and mystery of the works of Leonardo Da Vinci? Who has not shuddered with horror, seeing a photograph of Heinrich Himmler and remembering the brutality of the concentration camps? And who would not be surprised if, having said this, he continued to affirm that these three characters, so different and belonging to different eras, have a common link? A surprising and at the same time fascinating nexus called Montserrat.

Montserrat is more than just a sacred mountain since the dawn of time, like so many others: it is that metaphorical Labyrinth, where a Minotaur lives, called Mystery. It is the Sanctuary of a Black Virgin that guards an incredible underground world, completely forbidden to ordinary mortals. There are those who suppose that it was here, truly, where Jules Verne found the inspiration for his novel 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'. There are also those who suppose that, during those lost years, it was here where Leonardo Da Vinci was confined, one of the underground lakes of this mountain being the inspiration for one of his most enigmatic works: 'The Virgin of the Rocks'. And as for Heinrich Himmler, leader of the feared SS, it was here that he went, in 1940 or 1941, inspired by the operas of Richard Wagner, believing he had found the mysterious mountain of Montsalvat, custody of one of the great relics of Humanity: The Holy Grail.

¿Quién no ha dejado volar su imaginación, leyendo las increíbles historias de Julio Verne?. ¿Quién no se ha dejado cautivar por la grandeza y el misterio de las obras de Leonardo Da Vinci?. ¿Quién no se ha estremecido de horror, viendo una fotografía de Heinrich Himmler y recordando la brutalidad de los campos de concentración?. ¿Y quién no se sorprendería, si una vez dicho esto, continuara afirmando que estos tres personajes, tan diferentes y pertenecientes a épocas distintas, tienen un nexo en común?. Un nexo sorprendente y a la vez, fascinante, que se llama Montserrat.

Montserrat, es algo más que una simple montaña sagrada desde el alba de los tiempos, como tantas otras: es ese metafórico Laberinto, donde habita un Minotauro que se llama Misterio. Es el Santuario de una Virgen Negra que custodia un increíble mundo subterráneo, vetado por completo al común de los mortales. Hay quien supone que fue aquí, verdaderamente, donde Julio Verne encontró la inspiración para su novela ‘Viaje al centro de la tierra’. También hay quien supone, que, durante esos años perdidos, fue aquí donde se recluyó Leonardo Da Vinci, siendo uno de los lagos subterráneos de esta montaña, la inspiración para una de sus obras más enigmáticas: ‘La Virgen de las Rocas’. Y en cuanto a Heinrich Himmler, jerarca de las temidas SS, fue aquí donde acudió, en 1940 ó 1941, inspirado por las óperas de Richard Wagner, creyendo haber encontrado la misteriosa montaña de Montsalvat, custodia de una de las grandes reliquias de la Humanidad: el Santo Grial.
