[ENG-SPN] Rainbow, Pacts and Geometry / Arcoiris, Pactos y Geometría

It is not surprising that apart from seducing emotions with the undeniable appeal of its charm and being the focus of creativity for the most exciting and universal fantastic stories, the rainbow is also that hopeful consolation with which God sealed a pact with humanity after the Universal Flood.

Nothing reminds me of that decisive detail more than seeing those beautiful colors, gliding surreptitiously through the elegant transepts of a Gothic cathedral, as an unequivocal sign that Light and all its immense possibilities are also another way that the spirit has to communicate with God.

Well, as that powerful medieval mind, embodied in the historical figure of Bernardo de Claraval, Saint Bernard, anticipated at least a millennium ago, God is not only everywhere -in the mountains, in the trees, in the rivers - but also, their language is Geometry.

No es de extrañar, que aparte de seducir a las emociones con el innegable atractivo de su encanto y ser foco de creatividad para las más emocionantes y universales historias fantásticas, el arcoíris es también ese consuelo esperanzador con el que Dios selló un pacto con la humanidad después del Diluvio Universal.

Nada me recuerda más ese decisivo detalle, que ver esos hermosos colores, deslizarse subrepticiamente por los elegantes cruceros de una catedral gótica, como señal inequívoca de que la Luz y todas sus inmensas posibilidades, son también otra forma que tiene el espíritu de comunicarse con Dios.

Pues, como ya anticipara hace, cuando menos, un milenio, aquella poderosa mente medieval, encarnada en la figura histórica de Bernardo de Claraval, San Bernardo, Dios no sólo está en todas partes -en los montes, en los árboles, en los ríos- sino que, además, su lenguaje es la Geometría.
