[ENG-SPN] Of rivers and fames / De ríos y famas

It may seem subjective and perhaps, to a certain extent it is, but even among those vital accidents, which are rivers, differences occur and it is not, nor will it be the first time, in which a river enjoys fame, taking advantage of the circumstances of another's flow. It happens, for example, in that media-friendly natural paradise, which, known as the Ribera Sacra, establishes the border lines between two famous Galician communities: that of Orense and that of Lugo.

There, on those disturbing slopes, where the root of the vineyard clings with a beast's claw to the steep circumstances of the terrain, two rivers meet and embrace each other with the desperation of two lovers: these are the Miño and the Sil. Furthermore, it happens that it is the Miño that has the fame and the Sil that truly brings that vital endowment to the marriage, which is nothing other than that blessing that is always water.

Puede parecer subjetivo y quizás, hasta cierto punto lo sea, pero incluso entre esos accidentes vitales, que son los ríos, se producen diferencias y no es, ni será tampoco la primera vez, en que un río goza de fama, aprovechándose de las circunstancias del caudal de otro. Ocurre, por ejemplo, en ese mediático paraíso natural, que, conocido como la Ribera Sacra, establece las lindes fronterizas entre dos célebres comunidades gallegas: la de Orense y la de Lugo.

Allí, en esas turbadoras laderas, donde la raíz de la viña se aferra con zarpa de fiera a las circunstancias escarpadas del terreno, dos ríos se encuentran y se abrazan con la desesperación de dos amantes: se trata del Miño y del Sil. Dándose, además, la circunstancia de que es el Miño el que tiene la fama y el Sil, el que verdaderamente aporta esa dote vital al matrimonio, que no es otra cosa que esa bendición que siempre es el agua.
