Appreciating Assets

Appreciating assets for me is consciously buying liabilities. Now this is where so many persons miss it. They spend their money on liabilities because they cannot differentiate between what is really important to them. While in school, I was given little amount of money for upkeep because we were not financially buoyant as at then. This taught me how to spend money on things that i really need every time I have to spend money. Unknowingly to me, I was just naturally learning what is important and what is not.

First of all, understand that assets are things or goods that have value. So if you purchase anything that has no value, then it is not an asset. Sometimes, these assets are bought at cheap prices and grow into fortunes gradually. Here are some appreciating assets.

Real estate

Real estates have proved to be an appreciating asset for decades. I remember when my dad bought the land we currently built our house in. It was sold for a little amount of money. But today, that land is worth millions of naira. So imagine if we decide to sell that land with the house in it, you know we will be swimming in millions.

Shares

Well, shares are very good assets. My friend bought some shares in bank some Yeats ago and today, he knows how much he is balling from those shares he bought. Buying shares from companies means that you own a certain percentage from those companies. Now the good thing is that the higher shares you get, the higher your contribution to the company. Your decisions and contributions will then play a vital role in the company.

Cryptocurrencies

We all know that the value of Cryptos have become very good over time. When Bitcoin rose, it opened the eyes of so many people who now invested in it. Conclusion

In as much as it is good to invest in appreciating assets, also understand that there are some disadvantages that lies in investments. It is 100% possible that these assets may depreciate over time too. As a Cryptos investor , you will agree with me that sometimes, the bullish market comes and other times, the bearish market comes too. I encourage that before you invest, do your research very well and let your money yield profits for you.
