ABOUT THE MIND(Pt3)

It's been amazing thus far. I've been running a series on the "Mind" which began on Tuesday where we saw the meaning of the mind in a nutshell. Then on Wednesday, we saw why it's important to develop the mind. And I believe a lot of us has decided to be intentional about developing our mind.

Today is the last day, where we will be focusing on what exactly you feed your mind. Because what you feed your mind matters a lot.

Without further a due let's jump right in because I'm super excited to share what I have.

Just like our body, when you see someone all looking healthy, you'd say this person is eating well. Because what the person eats is reflected on the outward. That's the same with our mind. You'd know a healthy mind by the information that is accentuated.

Look closely, there is a channel which is used to feed which is the mouth. But in the case of the mind, two different channels are used to feed the mind which are:

  1. The Eyes

  2. The Ears

The Eyes: The eyes are organs that allow us to see. They take in light from the world around us and send visual information to our brains.

Fact: Our eyes can see about 200 degrees in all directions, including in front of us and to the sides (peripheral vision). Parts of our eyes work together to allow us to see images, movement, and depth.

Our eyes are super crucial. The things we see daily can either make you or mare you. The things we see can easily be forgotten from the eyes but it's not forgotten in our mind. it has been stored somewhere in the mind that it takes the grace of God to forget those things. That's why we should be very careful of the things we see daily.

“What the eyes had seen could not be erased.”― Frank Herbert.

The Ears: Your ears are organs that detect and analyze sound. Located on each side of your head, they help with hearing and balance.

Fact: When traveling through the air, sound waves can travel at around 330 meters per second (m/s).

Our ears are another important channel that is used to feed the mind. What we hear daily can be edifying to our lives or destructive. Like the ears, what we hear can be forgotten from the ears but it has found its way to our mind, and for us to easily forget certain things it also takes the grace of God for us to forget.
