10 years later...my dream came true !!!
As a little girl from time to time, I had many opportunities to see some hot air balloons flying over my hometown. I’ve been mesmerised by them every time they appeared above my head, on the distant sky.
I dreamt to soar high in one of those...
Many years later, as grown person, I have decided to make this dream come true.
That unforgettable event supposed to happen on my 25th birthday. It was planned that I will soar high to the sky over green Oxfordshire in England. Unfortunately, an adventure had been cancelled due to the weather conditions. I could use the voucher through the whole year, however at that time I had been quite busy, thus my hot air balloon ride didn’t happen.
This year I came back to my dream, and it finally happened !!!
September...my 35th birthday and the breathtaking sight of the sunrise over de Atacama Desert in Chile !!!
Interesting facts:
~ The hot air balloon was invented in 1783 by the Montgolfier brothers
~ The first aerostatic flight in history happened on 19th September 1783 in front of the King Louis XVI at Versailles. The first passengers to fly in a hot air balloon were a duck, a sheep and a rooster! 😄
~ The first human balloon flight took place on 21st November 1783

~ Two pilots: Swiss BERTRAND PICCARD and British BRIAN JONES completed the first ever non-stop around the world flight in hot air balloon on 20 March 1999
